Week 1

Hello Everyone! I hope you'll be at least a little relieved to know that I have made it safely to the England MTC, I know my mom is. Things have been awesome here, I truly believe that angels walk these halls.

The first day was a little rough, quite frankly Tuesday and Wednesday kind of blended into one very long and exhausting day. But after I got over my jet lag I have been trying my best to hit the ground running. Lessons here are very personalized and frankly amazing. The MTC is very small but modernized, we actually only have 37 missionaries at the moment since a group that made up about half of us went into the field. But that makes for a lot of one on one time with teachers which has lead to a lot of progression for everyone. I have specifically learned more about the Atonement in these last few days then I did in my whole Sunday School experience, no offense to my teachers of course. (Read Alma 34!) My favorite part of the MTC is without a doubt the TRC, which is where we do companionship roleplays with our teacher acting as the investogator. Our teachers, Brother Carrano and Sister Dixon, are very good actors and it makes for a very real teaching experience. In fact, one of the times when we taught in the TRC I was reciting the first vision to our investigator "Georgia" and was almost unable to finish the whole account because I started to tear up due to such an overtaking feeling of the sprit enveloping me. I had totally forgotten the experience was "fake". I say "fake" because the Spirit was very much in that room and I left with an unnwavering desire to recreate that feeling, I am addicted.

My companion as of last Wednesday is Elder Stricklin, he has a very strong spirit about him, although he can be very softly spoken at times, but overall we have hit it off very well.

The food here is good, so far at least, but we also have yet to get out of the MTC to try anything other than the very well prepared meals we are served here.

Since I am not going to be learning a new language on my mission I have set the goal to expand my knowledge of the English language aswell as my ability to use it effecticely. Since setting this moderatly secular goal I have had multiple experiences where I have had the Spirit bare tesitiment to me as to why I was called to this land. I'm already feeling a very strong feeling of love for these people even though I have yet meet them. I continually pray that this attitude will remain with me throughout the duration of my mission.

I hope all of you are doing great. I pray for you all constantly.

Sincerly,
Elder Pricer
