Elder Kaboshi

Sorry for not updating for a while, internet cafes are crazy, everything from power outages every 20 min to rainstorms to just no time. This area is very busy, traffic is terrible so we end up walking everywhere, good exercise right. Looking Town is probably the most perfect area for me though. the only thing that could make it better is a mountain bike. I love all the hiking up steep and slippery trials to go to members and investigators homes every day. The pikin, children, still shout "White man White man!" even though Ive gotten tan at Lumly beach a few weeks ago. So this is the end of my first transfer! I cant believe it! My papa, Elder Kabosha, Is on his way to his new area we call the bush, jungle, basically no mans land XD. and my 2 new companions are  at the apartment waiting. wait 2 companions... yep! the first one will be going bak na house in 3 weeks and my new trainer will be leaving in 6 weeks. so Im going to be in this area for a long time. 1 transfer for my training then at least one more to train a new elder on the area before i could leave. so imma gonna b here for a long while haha. gotta love this mountain.

Oh and while visiting the RS pres. after church we get some fine chop (Food) and as we are eating we are just watching this guy climb a coconut tree grab 4 coconuts and starts hacking away at them, gets 2 cups and tells us to drink the water inside... it was so random and unexpected but it was sooooooo goood and fresh and sweet, mmmm. and another day we found this adorable little cat like little cat. Elder Kabosha and I were standing looking at where we were on the mountain and this little cat starts pouncing on my shoe and playing with the laces. And for something more spiritual at church this Sunday, my companion pulls me out of the investigators class and we go to the bishops office where he has 2 sisters that were very sick. And again as with other blessings ive given, the spirit was so calming and totally in charge when I was giving them blessings or anointing. And that day I was thinking on why the people here have such great faith. and the simple answer is, they really dont and haven't had anything else in life to think about, to spend their time with, or to just to do other than church... so its soo amazing but its a blessing and a curse some times. since their churches are so big in their lives and education isn't very common its hard to teach them and have them understand what the importance of the  doctrine and meanings in the ordinances are, they just can't understand the deep meanings behind things. But its great. I love it when we teach them something that they never knew before and you can just see their life just begin to light up. I can see it in their eyes and feel it in my heart when they allow the spirit to teach them and its such an amazing feeling to see their conversion form at the beginning. It builds my testimony on the power and necessity of the Holy Ghost in missionary work and especially  our lives.
Im excited for what the Lord has in store for me over these next 22 months and 1 day. as for now ill just go to my wardrobe, get my big boy pants on and go bring others unto Christ, by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the holy ghost, and enduring to the end.
A cool quote i saw was what the definition of a missionary is, "Missionary: (n) someone who leaves their family for a short time, so others can be with theirs for eternity." I know this gospel has been restored, and is continually lead by a modern day prophet, and that this restored, not reformed, church has the keys to the kingdom to bind on earth and in heaven. Brothers and Sisters please read Alma 5:26 and act on that, become what your Heavenly Father wants you to be. and remember to always be in a good spot so you can hear the still small voice of the Holy Ghost, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
