Subject: WEEKLY UPDATE!!!
So my first week in the Ghana MTC has been great and ok at the same time. I've had so many great spiritual experiences in class, during lessons, at church, and today at the Ghana Accra temple. I had the wonderful and amazing opportunity to be an escort to my companion, Elder Edet. Elder Edet is from Nigeria and was born into the church. (really cool!!). When we first arrived in Ghana and got of the plane, first it was so HOT AND HUMID I couldn't believe it! and Second when we were driving by the Temple, I knew it was small but this temple is very very small. And driving here is very crazy. And I thought that Utah driving was bad. Anyway, the food on missions are always said to be great... I can't say the same here. The huge plates of rice with ether beans or some sort of meat sauce that sometimes has pieces of bone in it are greeeaaaat?!?!??!!!! My companion loves the chicken bones though! On the third day for dinner I guess they felt sorry for us Americans because we had fries, chicken legs, and a small pizza, with strawberry milk. Having the name of Elder Ball here is very entertaining. every time someone new sees it they smile or laugh and then acts like they are playing futbol... or Soccer. And futbol is VERY big here.. it's all they do for sports time.
I hope I can write more next week, today is hecktic with temple trips and endowments. Elder Brendan Ball
