Hope You Had a Great Christmas

Well Christmas it over and its back to the grind! This last week I had so much fun really getting into the true meaning of Christmas and studying how I can have that Christmas spirit year round not just during the season. This last week I had a really unique opportunity to be a Secret Santa. A lady in my ward works for Toys for Tots and she had called us about two weeks ago and asked if we would come by and take the toys from her and distribute them to those who may need them in the ward (congregation)! We were stoked! We got over to her house and she had 6 full 20 gallon trash bags full of toys - we were like what!?! That's way to many toys! So we called around to other Elders to see if they had anyone in their wards who also wanted some toys! We ended up having about ten families who were able to receive gifts! Seeing these parents light up as they saw the presents for their children was an awesome experience!

This last week I have to say was crazy! We had preparation day on Monday, played some basketball! Tuesday was district meeting. Wednesday was our Christmas Party, which was awesome!!! Soo much food! Thursday was Christmas eve and we were delivering gifts most of the day! And Friday was Christmas. On Christmas we are allowed to watch Disney movies so we watched Little Mermaid 2 ( personal favorite), Toy Story, and Inside Out! That was really good! But we were at our Bishop's house most of the day, watching movies there, Skyped our families, and ate dinner. What a great day!

Overall, had a very Merry Christmas, but I would have to say that my favorite part of Christmas was being able to talk to my family. Definitely was a great day! Sorry I haven't been sending a lot of pictures lately, I'll be more on top of that next week! Love you all, have a great week! Stay safe on New years! Love you each individually!

Love, Elder Shouse
