Subject: Gone, But Never Forgotten

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7

Dear family,

Can you believe it? The time has finally arrived! I will be returning home this week. It feels like these past two years flew by. I don't know if I ever thought this day would come. But here we are!

I'm so grateful that I've had the opportunity to serve as a missionary for the Lord Jesus Christ. The people of Michigan are wonderful, I've learned a lot from them. I will miss it here for sure.

However, I am ready for my next adventure! Being out here has taught me that "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13). Whatever my next adventure may be, I know that with God I will be able to get through it.

Besides, I hope you know that my mission isn't over; in fact, it's barely starting! I am merely being "transferred". I might not be full-time anymore, but you better believe I'm still going to be a missionary!

The Prophet Mormon declared:
"Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life" (3 Nephi 5:13). Like Mormon, we have each been called to the work! Will you join me in this
great work? I hope so.

"Shall we not go on in so great a cause?" (D&C 128:22).
Indeed we shall.

I leave you with my testimony that God lives. Jesus is the Christ. Through His infinite atonement, each one of us can be forgiven of our sins and one day become perfect like He is. The Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's kingdom established
on the Earth. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and it truly brings us closer to Him.

I love each one of you, and I look forward to seeing you!

P.S. I am stealing this picture from Elders Walker and Hartzfeld.
