Subject: Welcome to Monroe

And the angel answered and said unto the woman, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Matthew 28:5-6

Dear family,

Well, I officially got transferred! I have been transferred to Monroe, Michigan. Monroe is at the very bottom of the mission, we go down to the Ohio border. We also cover another Great Lake, Lake Erie! So that's pretty cool (I don't have any pictures of
it yet but as soon as I get some I will send them). Monroe is pretty similar to Chelsea. It has a few small cities and towns, but other than that it's all country. My new address is:

1701 Mall Rd #9
Monroe MI 48162
Just in case anyone feels like sending some love :)

Oh, and before I forget, happy birthday to my uncle Brad yesterday! Hope you had a great day!

I will most likely finish my mission here, so that's weird. My new companion's name is Elder Schone. He is from Boise, Idaho, and we came out on our missions at the same time. We were in the same zone in the MTC, so we kind of new each other. He's a really
nice guy and he's working me hard, which is a good thing I suppose. We are both secretly getting a bit trunky... Haha. :)

We don't have a lot of investigators here, but I will tell you about a couple that we have. Kayla is awesome and is ready for baptism, but her parents won't let her get baptized until she's 18 (she's like 17 right now). Eva is supposed to be getting baptized
soon. The only problem is that she only speaks Spanish! So we have to find translators, it's interesting. Other than that we have a few potentials and some less actives and recent converts that we are trying to work with. So there's much work to be done here
in Monroe!

We do a lot of service here. In Blue Water we went to the soup kitchen, here we go to a food pantry. We help people with their orders and help restock food. We also go help out at a Habitat for Humanity. While we are there we do various odd jobs that they
assign us. It's fun.

I hope everybody had a good Easter! Mine was pretty good. I've been thinking a lot about the Savior lately. To me, it's amazing that He is risen. Because He lives, we can all one day live again and have eternal life. I know that that's true.

Well, I hope everyone has a good week! I love and miss you all!
