We did some family history finding in the town centre and we were all talking to a load of people. This guy tried to bash us and showed me an anti video, but then I taught him the restoration and he didn't have much to say after that.
A few insights I've had this week:
“True doctrine, understood, changes attitudes and behavior. The study of the [doctrine] of the gospel will improve behavior quicker than a study of behavior will improve behavior.”
—President Boyd K. Packer
“Little Children,” Ensign, Nov. 1986, 17
The Book of Mormon is so full of true doctrines and principles that we need to share it with the whole world if we really want to make a difference. And it is for sure our greatest tool in sharing the gospel.
My testimony of its truthfulness as definitely grown from daily study and praying about it.
Remember, we can:
1.read the scriptures
2.study the scriptures
3.search the scriptures
The latter being the best ;)
We've seen some cool miracles with member work, but stay tuned!
Also something cool: there is a missionary named sister Andersen in the zone and she is from Norway and knows uncle Kenneth and Aunt Bonnie + the rest of the Steffensen bunch! Super cool!
We have zone conference coming up in a few days and I'm excited for that!
