Well the internet here is being extremely slow now so i have decided
that I am not going to send any more photos until I leave Nargana to
save time. Sorry :(
Martes
I am with Elder Ricks until my companion gets here from the City. We worked in Carti Tupile and it was super awesome! I love getting to work with my old companion again! We canoed to Yandup and were visiting people there when the Saila or leader of Yandup pulled us
over. It turns out that the missionaries before never asked for permission to proselyte there. Luckily they didn't care too much, but they did put a new rule that we have to leave the Island by 5 pm. Elder Ricks was a little upset and now has a goal to baptize the Saila
so he can work there longer!
Miercoles
Elder Ricks taught almost a full lesson in Dule Gaya, which was super legit. I wish more people on Nargana talked Dule Gaya so I could learn more. As we were laying in our hammocks, about to go to bed a bat attacked us. Luckily it never touched us but Elder Ricks jumped up and
tried to hit it with a broom. It was pretty entertaining!
Jueves
Elder Ricks made me hot wings!!!!
Viernes
As the new district leader, I had the opportunity to interview 3 people for baptism. It is super amazing to hear people´s testimony and how much they have changed in a matter of weeks! I love doing interviews and am looking forward for the opportunity to do another
one. Elder Ricks is tearing it up in Carti Tupile and their success shows it! On the way back to Yandup from Carti Tupile, Elder Ricks let me canoe back! It was pretty sweet even though I got tired pretty fast haha I am so out of shape.
Sabado
Elder Sanchez arrived and we went straight to work! We taught Yeibar, a joven who has already came to church 3 times, and we have just started teaching him this week! When we asked him to be baptized, he got super excited and said of course, yes i want to be baptized!! He is planning on getting baptized in 2 weeks. Also we are going to have 3 other baptisms next Saturday. Elkis, Abedili, y Melany (the kuna family that doesn't speak spanish) are super excited to be baptized and follow their Savior Jesus Christ.
Domingo
Hermana Maritza finally came to church. She is a less active that we have been working with for months. My heart was filled with joy when I saw her walk in the church. It is my favorite thing to see people change and come back to their Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. We also had the opportunity to listen to Elder Oaks through satellite. He came to Panama and gave a devotional on the family. He said that we are so blessed to have eternal families and we should always stay
worthy so that we can live with our families for the eternities! I know that families are eternal as long as we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and do our best to follow his example.
Love you all and have a wonderful week!
