Hello Everybody!!!!
heres some advice for you... If you are ever going to have an Argentine BBQ... be sure to have THE ARGENTINE buy the coal.... so that you dont have to walk around all day contacting people with a big bag of coal getting your white shirt all dirty when the dang argentine doest show up for his own BBQ. but then I guess the good side of it is that we got to barter the coal for some empanadas..... #score #imstillhungry
Anyways.....This week I absolutely loved the opportunity we had to teach a man named Carlos.... haha or at least thats who we started with.... Every time we go to his house to teach him, somebody new comes to the conversation and join us!!! This last time it was his adorable little grandaughter that is soooo smart. Her name is Bianca and shes about 9 years old. When we came back after the first time teaching her, we asked her if she had read, and the moment the words left our lips she turned bright red and her grandmother turned to us and gave us something similar to a ôh heck yeah she did¨ look. She then told us about how the girl had read the book of Mormon to her grandmother out loud several nights that week. Goodness she is so good my friends
Let me tell you about answered prayers. Every week I look for some way to make myself better in this work, but this last week I was struggling trying to form it all into a picture perfect thing in my head. I was really stressed about alot of different aspects of trying to be a good missionary that It was really beginning to get to my head. That was until we went to teach a man named Cristian and his family. They had about 1000000 questions about the gospel, why are you guys polygamists? Why is Joseph Smith a prophet if he didnt prophesy anything, why would God appear to a 14 year old boy? All of the classic questions that we hear from nonmembers trying to pick at the church or less active members picking at the church. As I listened to him rant for a little while, he stopped and gave us some room to breathe. Thats when the spirit quietly whispered to my soul ^testify of the book of mormon. As I began to speak, the words left my mouth and entered into my own soul. Everything rests on that Book. If we know its true, everything else falls into place. It all makes sense if you have a personal testimony of that Book and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. All rests on those two subjects. We may not know everything, but if we grown our own personal testimony of those two things, you will know enough to trust in Gods plan, trust that He knows everything.
I love you guys alot!! praying for you always!! Make it a good week ok?? heres a picture of me with a sweet grafitte lion and our dumb bag of coal....
Lots of love here from the promised land!!
