For todays mission activity I wanted to talk a little bit about Patience. I prepared the Christlike Attribute for District Council today, and I decided to choose patience, and I found some really awesome stuff. One of my favorite scriptures I found was in Luke 21:19 and it said in patience we shall posses our souls. This scripture really stuck out to me. I found it super cool. If we practice patience, and become patient people, we will be able to posses our souls. How crazy is that!
I also reflected on the experiment Elder Uchtdorf talked about. You all probably remember the Marshmellow experiment with the young children where they had to wait 15 minutes to eat their marshmellow, and if they waited, then they would recieve a second marshmellow. The interesting part about this experiment was that if the children were patience, and were able to wait the full 15 minutes, it was discovered that those who waited, were more successful in the future. I think that this is just another testament that as we are patient with ourselves, and with others, we will be able to more fully become like our Savior Jesus Christ, and more fully posses our souls.
I love you all so much! I challenge you all to find one thing that you can be more patient with and to work on that thing. I promise you that as you do you will be able to see the blessings that come from exercising that patience. Think of things as an opportunity to grow your patience, rather than as something that you just have to tolerate. As you do you will be happier, I can promise you all that!
I love you all so much! I hope work went well for you James, I'm sure you did great!
Love you all!
P.S Could you attempt to upload the videos of suprising James with his Guitar to Google Photos or send them through mesesenger or email, so I can watch them. Thanks!!!
