It's Coming to a Close

Well as part of my final moments here as a missionary for the Lord Jesus Christ I wan´t to send out this email to show you that this experience has changed me as I have seen God change others. In a week I return home, completing this almost 2 year journey I have had as a full time servant of God in Mexico and the State of New Mexico. To sum it up simply I will cite a scripture from the Book of Mormon 2 Nephi 26:23-24
"23 For behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you that the Lord God worketh not in adarkness.
24 He doeth not aanything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he bloveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw call men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.

God does everything for our benefit, that includes trials and believe me I have been tried, but I received lessons and experiences that have fortified and grown my faith. Faith being my firm certainty and belief in that which I cannot see but is true. As Chrstians that means being a believer in Jesus Christ that he is the Son of God, that he has suffered for my sins and mistakes and can help me fix my struggles and overcome my weaknesses if I will believe in Him and do good deeds even though I cannot see Him. Faith can sound really simple but is very very powerful because it requires full trust and hope in God. We can all start to grow our faith by firstly wanting to believe, maybe it's a belief in miracles, in the Bible, or maybe just God in general. If we make just that simple action to start believing we can grow our faith gradually thus increasing our hope for a better future, and developing a relationship with God and start to feel his love penetrate our hearts. I know faith in Jesus Christ brings miracles, it has changed the lives of many people I have had the privilege of meeting here in Mexico. I invite you to exercise faith, believe in God, try to pray to Him and ask Him for help, tell God you love Him.

I have done lots of unexpected traveling on my mission From the Coast of Oaxaca to my home in California, to the High Desert landscape of New Mexico, back to the beautiful green Land of Chiapas I have seen sad people become happy, hard hearts softened and sick souls healed by Jesus Christ, there is no mistake and no heartache that He cannot repair. To see a way of life so much more humble and grounded where running water is a commodity and the daily work pay can be as low as 2.5 dollars a day, one starts to realize what matters most. Faith, Family and Food. That is honestly a Mexicans key to happiness and we can learn a lot from that.

I love Mexico and New Mexico, I love the gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I know families are blessed with joy and enriched power by the message I have spent so many hours studying and sharing these past couple years. I know now more than even that Jesus Christ lives and want all who read this to know that there is love out there with arms stretched out wide and that love is the Savior of Mankind. When we lose ourselves we find ourselves.
