This Christmas

We had a week of Fiestas and exciting teaching opportunities! It started Monday helping out a member make tamales for her birthday party and we made like 800. The birthday party was fun as well and we ate our weight in delicious tamales. As well here in Mexico Christmas is just loads of parties fireworks and tamales. The town we live in Flor de Mayo had a big party with a soccer tournament and all.

For Christmas eve we ate even more tamales and enjoyed time together with some members. Another interesting part is here they don't have the tradition of presents Christmas morning. Christmas here quite literally is all about family and food and faith because that's all they have. That is Christmas, good wholesome time with loved ones.

On Saturday we went to another cornfield and gave some service there. Working in the fields is no joke and I have so much more respect now for hard work and for those who work in the the fields that grow the food we eat.

This weekend we will turn over a new leaf and usher in the new year I hope you all enjoy your new year celebration and can look back and see the blessings from the year that has passed.
