Love your Enemies

Some exciting changes happened this week pertaining to our ability to leave the home that are really exciting! We can now go into members homes as well into the homes of those we are teaching! We are officially in "phase one" so there is progress!

Another great week has come and gone in the great farm town of Belen New Mexico. We taught some people, served and made some phone calls and Facebook videos. We were doing a lesson with a member of the church here in Belen and he shared this amazing story of how he tried to love his enemy. To make a long story short he had a work colleague and they really didn't get along at all but one week he found out that his colleague was gonna re do the roofing on his home so without even telling him the went to this colleague's home to help with his roof and it resulted in a great friendship that still lasts today. Could we do that? Go help someone we don't get along with? It is a challenge absolutley but if we can serve even those who we don't get along with it will make us and them happier. Dwelling on what we don't like about a person brings nothing but anger and negativity. I fall victim to that too often but if we can as Christ taught "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" (Matthew 5: 44). We will have a greater ability to feel joy and see the good in people!

Have an amazing positive week!
