What's up everyone! I hope everyone's week has gone well! Mine has been going good and was as eventful as it gets in quarantine here Haha
So this week after our district meeting we went out and we ate at this little family burger joint. And I'm telling you that's the best burger I've ever had in my life. It had so many crazy hamburgers! The one I ordered was a ¾ pound burger with mac and cheese and bacon! It was so big and man was it delicious! The other elders got like the chilie burger, the pizza burger and another one that was like a shrimp and beef burger. But this place is so good it's called In Skip if you ever come to fountain city Tennessee you need to go there! And don't worry I got some pictures! And we are going on runs and staying active so hopefully we don't have heart attacks haha
But this week we had some huge spider run ins as well. I got a picture of one of them and one of these bugs that are always around here so I got tosenda time pics. But we were helping people move this week and we had to move a bunch of stuff out of a storage unit, but this storage unit wasn't a new one it was old. Anyways not only was this place old but this storage unit hadn't been touched in years so when we opened the door it was dusty and full of spider webs and rat poop and maggots dead and alive. I'll just add in here it didn't spell to amazing either but we were happy to help and serve these people because they were a bit older and couldn't do it themselves. But in that storage unit I almost grabbed about a million bugs and spiders because there were so many. So I'll get some pics of that!
But like I said earlier we were still so happy to have had the opportunity to help and serve these people and I have loved being back in the field getting to things like that again and spreading this beautiful message of the restoration. And I even had the chance to teach the restoration in a full spanish lesson this week! I was so excited about it. We had a referral this week come in and her name was mayra and she only spoke spanish so me and another elder in my district were able to teach her over face time. What a blessing we have to be able to use technology and to reach people in that way. And also if me and that other elder hadn't been reassigned to this mission no one would have been able to teach her in these areas because there wasn't enough spanish missionary. So wow what a blessing we see there! And I'm glad God is still allowing me to grow and use my Spanish here in Tennessee.
So just to finish things off I want to talk about something sad that happened this past week. An Elder in my mission was hit and killed when riding his bike this week. I don't know if you have seen it on the news or not but he was from this mission. And our hearts and prayers go out to him and his family. I didn't personally know him but I could only imagine the pain that his family feels. But for that reason I wanted to share a quick thought about the knowledge of the plan of salvation and the hope, light and joy it brings to our life.
Brothers and sisters what a beautiful thing the knowledge of the plan of salvation brings us. Although the passing of a loved one is always hard, what an amazing knowledge that God has blessed us with to know that no one is lost and that we can see them again in the next life! We know that there is life after death and that Jesus Christ over came death so we could as well. When we keep this in mind and have that eternal perspective it allows hope and joy to replace sadness and sorrow. How grateful I am for that knowledge in my life to guide me in dark times and to keep me hopeful for the future and what is to come. I just will finish to say I know the plan of salvation is real and that God created it perfectly. I love this gospel and the light it brings to my life and the lives of others to help and guide us in our lives and to carry us in our hard times. I hope you feel the same and if not I encourage you to pray and ask God for confirmation of these things. Share the message of truth and light!
That's all I have this week I love all of you! Chow!
