Week 4 in Ely

Hey guys! I hope you all had a great week! This week was filled with service, studying, teaching, and Facebook! That is about all of what my weeks consist of hahaha.
So we had the chance to help a family move and it was an interesting experience haha. We can't go into people's houses yet so they had to push everything half way out of the door for us to get anything from inside. When we got to the other house we just took that stuff and put it outside of the front door hahaha. We were able to help them move a lot of things so it did work out at the end. We also helped a member with her rock garden haha. She says in Nevada, the only things she can grow is rocks and weeds so she has an impressive rock garden that we are helping with haha.
So this week our mission finally got Facebook and it has been really cool! It is nice seeing all of you request to follow me and it has been nice to see all of the missionaries I met at the MTC. Since we just got Facebook we have lots of rules regarding what we can and can't do. If you send me a message or comment something I'm not sure if I can respond yet but I love seeing them! We will be able to post things soon so be on the look out for that. Oh yeah and if you haven't followed me yet, follow me because you will be missing out on some good future posts!
So this week during my studies I read something from the Teachings of Presidents on Gordon B. Hinckley which is really good. I read a chapter about "Cultivating an Attitude of Happiness and a Spirit of Optimism" and found some really helpful things from it. It stressed that we are responsible for our individual happiness. A verse that it referenced that I really liked is Proverbs 17:22. It says,
22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Now, I know that having a good attitude about everything isn't the easiest. I often let uncontrollable things affect my attitude. Sometimes before we even start things we have a bad attitude towards it for no reason. Having a good attitude changes
everything. A positive attitude and a smile can make you so much happier. Be happy! Have fun! "Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured."

That's it from me this week! Talk to you guys soon! Make it a great week!
