HEY EVERYBODY!SO interesting thing happened this week. We went to Carabuela to teach a family that HAD a baptismal date but they kinda got lost. Didn't go to church, we couldn't find them when we passed by so we reported them without a date for baptism. Finally, Friday night we taught them (with a member translating everything to Kichua) and at the end we asked the member to ask them about baptism and how they still feel about it. They talked for 5 min and then the member told us that Jose said he was still ready to get baptised THIS WEEK. We were gonna go for it, but now he is going to try to get back with his Ex wife or start living with some new woman cause his 7 kids need a mom and he is lonely and their family is falling apart. SO he is gonna have to wait to see what happened before baptism cause we don't want him to sin and fall away, and maybe even his ex-Wife will listen and join him.Well we are teaching some new families now and are super awesome and the wife cried in the lesson we had and another family wants to listen but told us he will never change churches...even though he had questions and read in the Book of mormon.... Huh?!?LUIS. SO Luis is that guy I mentioned that knew nothing about Jesus before we met him. He is doing good, coming to Church, starting to learn and remember things and his almost wife is helping him read and do things like that. SO he is progressing. It looks like they will be able to get married in a month or so.THE CORONA VIRUS!!!!!!!!!!!!So everyone talks about that here. In Church, our appointments, EVERYTHING. So yesterday in district council we told all the missionaries in the Zone that we got an email that said all missionaries in Ecuador have to wear a face mask starting the following day when they read the email. Then at night we called and said they couldn't leave the house for Preparation day and they all started freaking out and we told them it was a joke. But literally people are losing their minds about it. It has arrived probably arrived to Ecuador though so…18 And it came to pass that Amalickiah caused that one of his servants should administer apoison by degrees to Lehonti, that he died.19 Now, when Lehonti was dead, the Lamanites appointed Amalickiah to be their leader and their chief commander. The war chapters teach us alot about how we should be ready and strengthen our testimonies in preparation and that satan will always be working little by little until he gets us. We probably all have taken those small steps close to the line until we realize it or someone tells us. But if we are always reading, praying, and going to Church God wont let us go to far.-Elder HallstedSo there was plenty of talk and speculation about the Corona Virus in Ecuador by March 3. Bentley and his companion thought it would be funny to put on masks and gloves for District Meeting. Little did they know just how far reaching the pandemic would be within days of taking this picture.
