Hello Family and Friends, We stayed in the house all day Dec 31 and the 1st of January. But we did wake up to see fireworks and people burning stuff in the street.Members here are the best. For fast and testimony meeting by the time the bishop finished his testimony, there were 24 (I counted) people waiting to share their testimonies. WHAT A POWER MEETING! Then they took our investigators to class without us asking. It happens all the time. Last week an investigator said he only had an hour and had to help his family but he tried to leave. We saw him in class and he said the members wouldn't let him leave haha.So Alfredo. I found him in interchanges with my zone leader 6 months ago (when I was assigned in Carabuela, but came to Centenario on interchanges, and now this is my assigned area) and a week ago he came to church. He has read the BOM, Doctrine and Covenants and lots more from 20 yrs ago. He came to Church so we went to visit him and it looks like his desires changed a little and he is ready. He forgot a lot of stuff but we are working for a baptismal date of 22 of February.Milton Ordoñiez (my convert from 2 weeks) brought his family to Church and they liked it and after church he told us he went with a member to preach and teach his family that lives really far to see if they will receive us.-Elder HallstedAlso our mission pres. sent us this today so I thought I would share it.President Nelson's special invitation for this 2020“When I spoke during the general conference last October, I designated 2020 as the bicentennial era, which commemorates 200 years since God the Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to Joseph Smith in a vision. That unique event in the history of mankind began the restoration of the gospel of the Lord, a restoration that unfolds and continues today. God loves all His children and has a vision for each of us. In the same way he heard Joseph's prayer in 1820, He listens to you and longs to speak with you through the Spirit. We invite you to be an important part of sharing the message of the continuous restoration of the Gospel of the Savior. We will talk more about this soon, but you can start today, following the invitations I extended to you at the last general conference, to immerse yourself in the glorious light of the Restoration. They could begin their preparation by reading again the story of Joseph Smith about the First Vision that is recorded in the Pearl of Great Price. Or you could meditate on important questions such as: “How would my life be different if the knowledge I had obtained from the Book of Mormon was suddenly taken away from me?” Or “How did the events that followed the First Vision have influenced me and my loved ones? Choose your personal questions and make your own plan. Follow any of these invitations to prepare to share the important messages of Continuous Restoration. It is your personal preparation that will help the April general conference become for you not only memorable, but also unforgettable. The time to act is now. This is a crucial moment in the history of the Church and the part you play is fundamental. ”President Russell M. Nelson
