#52 Sunday Elders

Hello Family and Friends,Last week the Bishop told my companion that he would give a talk on the 11 of August. 5 Minutes before the meeting the bishop entered and look at us with a smile and said " today is Sunday, and you guys are Elders" and I was like oh no thats never good. Cause the Bishop like to mess with us. So after the sacrament they anounced the meeting as a testimony from a member and a talk from yours truly, Elder Hallsted...So I shared Helaman 5:6-7 and talked about taking upon ourselves the name of Christ.Helaman 5:6-7Behold, I have given unto you the names of our first aparents who came out of the land of Jerusalem; and this I have done that when you remember your names ye may remember them; and when ye remember them ye may remember their works; and when ye remember their works ye may know how that it is said, and also written, that they were bgood.7 Therefore, my sons, I would that ye should do that which is good, that it may be said of you, and also written, even as it has been said and written of them. There is a lot in a name. That shows the importance of what we do with Christs name.Monday: We taught Neythan the first THREE lessons. He never really got baptised and confirmed but thought he was a member.Tuesday: More meetings than normal. We visited Neythan for a while and he is ready for baptism. Then we practiced how to baptise with Sinde Flores and her Grandpa that was going to baptise her.Wednsday:Service all morning, Interview for Neythan, Boring stuff and travel to QuitoThursday; ¡UN AÑO!(ONE YEAR)So in Quito my companion had some meetings cause he is new and I got to review the Progress of another Elder and give him some tips.Friday: BAPTISM OF NEYTHAN Saturday: We built a house in the morning then BAPTISM OF SINDE!Sunday: I gave a talk, we found some new people. But we have been without runing water about everyother day so whenever there is water we quickly take a shower cause we never know when it will come and go. Every Baptism there was a giant party afterward with SO MUCH FOOD. I am accustomed to eat a ton here but man we were dying. I went outside to throw up but kept it in. My comp broke out his wallet and payed someone to eat his food cause he was dying.I had a chicken foot in my soup this week. A little weird. THERE ISNT MEAT ON THE FOOT but there is the toenail(not a joke).-Elder Hallsted
