#39 Praying for TAXIS (May 13, 2019)

Hello All,
This week definetly wasn't on the top charts. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good and we got busy looking for a house (all good there now), meetings, and we found 13 people last week which was basically a record but when we went back they weren't home, didn't want anymore, or something happened. So reporting weekly numbers was horrible. My Zone Leaders kinda lit me up (with love of course but it was tough love). It kinda looks like we didn't do anything this last week. BUT

I did help bless a taxi. Rosa Maria(Person who I taught that got baptised 2 months ago) called us saying she couldn't come to church but wanted us to come by for a mothers day blessing. That isn't that uncommon for her. She askes us to say special prayers all the time cause she thinks we are holy and it will turn out better. So we got there and her family was there. Like 35 people. They all walked outside and were like "ok the prayer". We were so confused we said a prayer for the car to not crash and things like that then they did some catholic blessing by sprinkilng water all over the car from a Rose then blessing two boys.

From what I put together is that Rosa Marias son Died 6 months ago(I asume while driving the Taxi) and so now that he is dead the 17 and 14 year old sons are going to be the Taxi drivers to help make a living. The Grandpa gave a catholic prayer where the like cross arms and say "Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost". THEN......Rosa Maria gets her turn and gets down on her knees and says a prayer that was so beautiful and powerful. I dont think her kids have really seen a non-memorized prayer before. ya me and Elder Quispe were crying a little to see that. Then she does the Catholic prayer to finish....but get this she doesn't say it the same. She said "HEAVENLY FATHER, the Son, the Holy Ghost" WHAT. It was awesome. Then we ate some super good cake so what a day. Also we went around and talked with like all of her family then shared a message for 5 minuets.

Sergio, the guy who was in prison for a really long time is doing awesome. We have to tell him that he can't be baptised till he finishes parol, which is in 2 years so that is REALLY sad for us. But he used top be a heavy Marujuana smoker but said when we came by he felt the need to drop it and just dropped it last week. He is 10 days with out it. His friends offered it to him and he said it just doesn't interest him. What a Champ. But wow. Like 2 years is a long time. I could have a wife or even a kid before he can get baptised. Whoof. Let that sink in. I'm pretty sure its gonna be hard for him but he can do it.

Thanks for reading. Stay tuned for next week!
