#23 Just a Cool Week

Querida Familia y Amigos,Spiritual Thought: So I really like this scripture in Ether 12:4 that sais “4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.”. I love how it kinda explains why we have religion and our Faith. Lots of people will become Catholics here because there arent rules and they can drink and do whatever they want and be saved. But this scripture tells us that faith in God gives us hope, and a motivation to be better so we are ready to meet God again. So I had exchanges with the Zone leaders this week is a place that really is “El Campo” meaning everyone wears really different clothing, cows and animals are everywhere, and there are lots of fields which is super convenient for missionaries that have to pee but dont want to walk back to the house. I love it out there. The Zone leaders have been kinda struggling to find new people that will listen and we didnt really have much planned. We found and taught a 50 yr old lady and her 13 yr old daughter. They were actually understanding and basically asked us why they had never heard of these things before. They were so greatful and thanked us so much for coming. It was so awesome. I had one other experience like that last night with a Catholic guy that is currently taking weekly visits with the Jehovah's witness missionaries. I said the first vision and he was like “How come I've never heard of this in my life” It was such an awesome feeling. They are looking for the Gospel and have a lot of potential but their schedule is insane so hopefully we can visit them again soon.Jimmy. Jimmy had a date for this Saturday but we moved it back a month because he is really busy with the University and work so it is difficult to have visits and attend church. But last week we kinda went over everything to see how he felt and he said he wasn't sure if he had a testimony. THEN HE LITERALLY GOT HIS ANSWER THRU A DREAM. He said he was like having the first Vision experience and he vividly described it all. Man it would be so cool to have that dream.Funny thing about Elder Camacho’ He has a collection of cool-funny Catholic stickers. I tell him not to, but when he sees a new one he just rips it right off the door. Even if I just knocked it 5 seconds before and someone is coming to the door. hahahSo this week Elder Camacho made a mistake of buying something, and his mom pulled all of his money out of his account for some reason so I was paying for him. We were both low on money but I had enough to get us through the week. But. O man. My coin pouch was filled with pennies )sometimes I love bus drivers= and it like slipped out of my pocket. I noticed it was gone as soon as I stepped of the bus, so we ran and chased that bus for about 5 minuets until it was absolutly gone. So as we walked we were quoting scriptures like when Issac says “The Lord will Provide” and Elder Camachos mom Put his money back in his account and he had his card on him. SO Elder Camacho Provided haha. But I am going to miss him a ton. I think this will be my last week with him unless President keeps me here in Ibarra another change which looks unlikely.P.s. funny story but we were walking home and I looked down and had some white liquid all over the bottom of my pants to my knees. I touched it and Elder Camacho smelled it and it turns out it was rotten cheese. I don't know how, but it happened-Elder Hallsted
