Mom and Dad were out of town, so you will see a couple of these emails come through together. Enjoy!
Hola Familia y Amigos!!Where I will be going? Not even I know right nowLet me set the seen: It was last Sunday after dinner and we had a couple extra minuets so we decided to go and Check our emails. We didnt get anything out of the ordinary, but we realized that at the spot that Used to Say " Ecuador Quito North Mission", it said WASHINGTON DC SOUTH MISSION!! Only one other person had that new mission as well so We realized that it was our temporary reassignment because our visas haven't arrived. Five days later I got my official notice of reassignment in the mail and then went to go get flight plans the next morning and they said CHISTES(Jokes) to our reassignment. The visas are on their way so they are having us stay in the MTC for extra time to see what happens. That is about the only thing out of the ordinary this week other than my LAST haircut in the States. Two of the Hermanas (sisters) in our group are very musically gifted. One has been studying music in college for 2 years and has an amazing voice and knowledge of music and the other one plays very well and can write music so they meshed "I Stand All Amazed" and "Savior Redeemer Of My Soul" together and they wrote an extra verse. It is AMAZING and we are going to sing it for our Zone on our last Sunday. None of the Elders really wanted to do it and take time to practice, but now everyone is loving it because it sounds so good.So this week I noticed a lot of people talking about trials and I found some amazing scriptures.Ether 6:6-10 The Brother of Jared and his people are traveling across the ocean and they are being tossed about because of the harsh winds. They prayed for the winds to stop and they didnt and in the end the winds pushed them to where they needed to go. Then they gave great thanks for the winds.Mosiah 23:21-22 "Nevertheless the Lord seeth fit to chasten his people; yea, he trieth their patience and their faith. Nevertheless--whosoever putteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day. Yea, and thus it was with this people.1 Peter 4:12-13 (this one is one of the best. Go look it up) bentley.hallsted@myldsmail.netSincerely,Elder Hallsted
