WEEK 93 - Hello my good sirs and.... siretts_ siresses
Hello my good sirs and.... siretts_ siresses_ Ima go with siresses, it seems like good english to me having been in chile for almost 2 years. But this weeks was fun. Im not sure if i talked in my last weekly about our zone activity on monday. But, so what happened is that we went to the ................ wait for it............beach! we went real chueco, it was fun. We were planning on playing football on the beach but it was rainy and cold so we were there and within five minutes the elderes all left running to get someplace dry, we went to a chapel building and played sports.
On Tuesday we contacted some venezuelans that are super awesome! we have had some hiccups but we are going to see if they are going to be able to progress.
Wednesday we had comp exchanges!!! I went off to Levarte with Elder Knight. That was a super fun comp exchange. we had a good lesson with a guy named umberto. He has a desire to follow Christ but has a fear that he will go back on baptism after the fact so didnt eccept a baptismal date so far, but said that he will attend church and wants to progress with his entire family which is fairly long. Also they have a ten year old girl that has been attending for a while and has never gotten baptised so one of the main things i was trying to achieve was teach this girl during the comp exchange because her only impeedment is that it is hard to find and teach her. We went at 5ish and wasnt there. affter the lesson with Umberto it was 9:30 and we have to be home between 9:30 and 10:00, but i told Elder Knight that we should try to hit her up. So we went and she was in her room annd saw us through the window and started yelling at her grandma, "grandma!!! the missionaries are at the door!" the grandma didnt hear it the firrst few times so she had to yell it a few times which was kind of funny. Then the grandma came up to another window and told us, "its late, what are you doing here?" we apologized for how late it was and asked if we could pass by the next day and she said yes. The next day and the few days after she accepted a baptismal date and they started planning for her baptism!!! Im really happy for them.
Thursday we had a really cool lunch that we met some less actives teenagers and invited them to church. they were cool. The girl went to church which was awesome
Friday we had the conference with Elder De Hoyos who is the area president. We were with four zones and i got to see all sorts of missionaries for the first time in 🎼foreveeeeeeeeeeer🎼, sorry i forgot that im not in frozen. They talked about better ways to contact, how faith and desires are connected (see D/C11), the power of prayer, how no commandment is temporal and how that applies to what we does as missionaries and the rules and expectations that we have for work. Also a recent convert made completos with us
Saturday we ate sushi with that same recent convert
Sunday we had our lesson with those venezuelans from tuesday. There were the married couple and the dude´s sister and her boyfriend there. We had a great lesson about the Restoration (even though we had more than a few interruptions. And they accepted a baptismal date for the 14th of July!
