Elder Watts

Elder Ben: Back in Bahia Blanca

This week was a very big change. I`m back in Bahìa Blanca, the second biggest city in the mission and the city with the most missionaries. I`m in estaca Villa Mitre in barrio Cerrito, and I`m the district leader of a district with six elders and two hermanas. Tomorrow I`ll be doing my first divisions from a leader`s perspective. My companion is Elder Watts from Texas--his dad is from my group. He`s very chill, and I`m excited to be his companion. This week was crazy. My companion was sick, so we didn`t really leave thursday, and we travelled to a pueblo on Saturday all day. I still don`t know many of the people here, but I did meet a family that`s a part of the Leal family from Terrada. I also saw Juli today in a restaurant. (She`s the one who sent pictures on facebook.) Six months ago in Terrada, we were helping her to decide whether or not to serve a mission. She knew that she needed to go, but she was really scared. We did some mission-prep with her and took her to talk to people in the street. When I saw her today, she said that she`s putting her papers in! Super cool. She might post a picture later on, but I doubt that she`ll do it today because her eyes are diallated. (That`s not how to spell it but you know what I mean.)So yeah, I`m looking forward to this transfer. I just played futbol for the first time in about four months, which is not normal. I keep thinking that President Hymas is going to keep me where I`m at, but for the last four transfers, he`s been surprising me with more and more responsability. It helps me a lot to stay focused--there`s hardly enough time to do what I need to do, so there`s not much time for thinking about home or playing with yo-yo`s...though there is a little. I found a yo-yo in the house, and I`ve been practicing around the world.Congratulations on your book Brooklynn!! Everyone should read it; it`s one of the most original and coolest ideas I`ve ever heard:" target="_blank" class=""> el otro lunes entonces! (Until next Monday, then!)Elder Sheffer
