Tuesday
Me and Emry were alone for most the day so we did studies together and did some street contacting. We probably walked foran hour and a half and only talkedto one person, it was really cold outside so people must have been afraid of the cold. When Holmes got back from his "departing missionary site seeing" He was dead tired so he needed to take a bit of a nap. After that we had a lesson with Toscinia, she is the one with the screaming kids, those lessons are pretty hard but I think she enjoys them. We had dinner at the Wyatts house, Brother Wyatt has alzhimers and looks like Santa Clause, he is a funny guy. All of our appointments during the night got cancelled so we did some less active work and finding.
Wensday
All of us were feeling sick escpecially Elder Holmes so we took about half of he day off. Its hard being a sick missionary because you want to be out doing things but you feel crappy. Anyways at about 12 we had an appointment with Zach so we got up for that and had a lesson with Elaine. Elaine is doing awesome. Her husband (who is 60+) was playing football on the X-Box when we walked in! It made me laugh, because he was pretty bad at it but he was enjoying himself. After dinner we had a lesson with Jack, he is back from Florida. The lesson was awesome, we taught him the remander of the commandments, but what was more awesome is he asked ME to baptise him the Saturday!!!!! I was so pumped! He said that it would be a speacil experience for him, but he also wanted it to be a speacil experience for someone else. I jumped up right there and gave him a big old hug. Jack is awesome Im not sure what I did to deserve this guy.
Thursday
We had district meeting in the morning, the new district now involves: Genva, Seneca Falls, Canadegua, and Penn Yann. Everyone is awesome, and Iam no longer the greenie, because theres a new guy! After the meeting we ent to the Library so Elder Emrycould start "My Plan". he goes home at the end of this transfer, so I will be killing off to missionaries in a row. I made the programs for the Baptism on Saturday while we were there. Dinner was awesome, I made Fried eggs that I put on toast whith some sliced Ham that I had cooked for a minute, oh yeah, that was pretty good. Then we headed to our second lesson with Darius.
Friday
We did some weekly planning then went to Jack's so he could try on the baptismal clothing. He said he was a bit nervous but was mostly excited. After that we went to the library so we could print off the baptismal program, while there I got into a bit of a bible bash with a guy, his ideas were a bit dumb.... BUT he is a son of God so I gotta love him. I decided to end the conversation because it wasn't benefiting anyone. Frank took us to dinner for Elder Holmes` last night. We went to friendly and got huge Sunday's. Holmes pounded that thing in less that two minutes. After dinner we went over to Dave Baker (the other one getting baptised) so he could try on his baptismal clothing as well. Dave is awesome just like Jack. Then we headed to Carrie Jensen because she had just got news she had cancer. We read the scriptures with her and prayed with her and her family, sad situation. After that we did some tracting to finish off Elder Holmes' mission.
Saturday
Resident Evans Picked Elder Holmes up in the morning to take him to the mission home where he met up with his family! He got to spend the whole day with them and come back to baptise Dave. Elder Emry and I spent the majority of the day in Waterloo visiting some less actives, and old folks who can't make it to church. One lady, Sue Poorman, was living in a hospital, her roommate is litterally insane and all she does is lay in bed all day. I would hate living like that, but she was happy and glad to see us, we ended up giving her a blessing. We also did some tracting in Waterloo, we knocked on this one guy's door and he said "let me guess religion. How does it feel being stupid?" I started laughing pretty hard because I thought it was hilarious, Elder Emry tried to talk to the guy but he wasn't having it. I chuckled about that rest of the day, Elder Emry got pretty worked up about it haha. After doing some work in Waterloo we started preparing for the Baptisms. The font filled up extremely slowly so I was a bit nervous but it ended up being ok. The baptism was awesome! Jack had a huge smile the whole night, and Dave was a bit nervous. I got to Baptise Jack, it was a bit hard bringing him up out of the water because well he is a bit large. Haha but everything went pretty smoothly and it was awesome. There were not as many people there as we would have liked but the people there were awesome and very supportive. I am insanely greatful to have the opportunity to baptise Jack . Most new missionaries don't have this type of experience. It s extra special to me because I knocked on his door about a week into getting her in New York. I am spoiled.
Sunday
Both Jack and Dave we concerned and received tho Holy Ghost today. Elder Emry did it for both of them. Jack got to meet the elders quorm at the end of church and o think he really enjoyed it. The class was a bit all over the place, and then I got the promting to ask the class to share experiences where they felt the Holy Ghost. It was awesome. I think Jack loved that class. After church we came back to the Appartment and elder Emry took a nap. He is pretty sick. Having sick companions is rough. Haha but we eventually got back to work and visited some investigators, contacted some less actives and did some tracting.
Hope to hear from everyone! Love you guys!
