Coronavirus

Dear Missionary Families in Mission Peru Piura,

Currently there is a lot of concern about the spread of "coronavirus" worldwide. At Mission Peru Piura, Peru, we are aware of the threat and have been taking the necessary steps to keep our missionaries happy, healthy and safe. For their health and their safety, they have been reminded of the importance of following standard preventive health practice and have been trained in appropriate self-care and food preparation techniques that will prevent the spread of the disease. The Missional Department is also closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus and is in contact with the Area Presidencies, medical advisors in the area and other health professionals who will advise missions on the steps to be taken to ensure our missionaries are Insurance. Thank you for the efforts you have made to send and support your missionaries here at Mission Peru, Piura. We know the Lord is watching over you and is blessing you and your missionaries for your efforts. Through obedience to commandments and taking the right preventive action, we know that our missionaries will be protected. If you have questions, you can contact us by email. In addition, if you want to receive updates on what the Church is doing to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus and keep its missionaries safe, the Church Press Room has created a website where they post updates on how the coronavirus is affecting members and missionaries around the world.
