Well, this has been quite the week! We spent a lot of time preparing for the baptism of a lady named Adelina Salinas Quintas. She was already ready when I got transfered in, we were just waiting for her daughter to get better from some strange sickness that she has. Apparently there was some mold problems in Adelina's house, and that was causing breathing problems for her 3 year old daughter Elizabeth. Well, finally as these things began to clear up we were able to plan and make her baptism happen. So, on Wednesday we were able to baptize Adelina. There were lots of rules on what we had to do with the quarantine, so we weren't allowed to have more then 10 people there, and we had to space the chairs out, but we were able to have an amazing ceremony anyway. The most powerful part for me was when she bore her testimony. She shared the story of how she came to know the church, and all of the people that invited her to come and see before she finally accepted. It was incredible to see how although it wasn't the first person, or the second person, or even the third person, and it wasn't the first time that she met with the missionaries, but the Lord prepared her, and she was finally brought into his kingdom. This week we also had the opportunity to participate in the funeral of the missionary who died not too long ago. Both of his parents spoke, and one of the family friends gave his life sketch. It was amazing to see the strong spirits of his parents. They seemed to have accepted it as a part of God's plan, and were very strong about what had happened. They both mentioned that they were more sad about the other person who had to experience so much guilt than about loosing their son, because they knew they would see him again. This wasn't the first son that they lost either. The Elder's younger brother passed away a couple years ago, and they talked about how comforting it is to know that their two sons are toghether again and happy to be back together. It was just powerful to hear their testimonies of the plan of salvation and God's personal plan for them. The quatantine is starting to lighten up as well!! With special permission from our mission president we were able to go eat with 2 members out side of their house and practicing social distancing! I was so excited to finally be able to meet the members and actually visit with some humans face to face! People really are what make missionary work fun. At one of the dinner appointments we were talking to a young man who just received his mission call, and he has had some amazing opportunities to share the gospel with his friends. He had already taught the restoration to one of his friends and several of the other basic doctrinal points! The Lord is preparing him to be a great missionary! Have a great week! And keep looking for people to share the gospel with!I love you all!Elder Wilson
