Elder Pippert

Milagroooooos semana 8

This week has been doooope. I'll start off with last P-day. Me elder Pippert, Peterson, and Britten went to this sketchy Flea Market in Opa Locka, FL which is the HOOD. The Flea market was pretty dumb but elder Britten got some fake yeezy's for 12 dollars so it was successful. That night we taught Maria Loredo and her daughter with the ward mission leader president. She was a former investigator and came to church but she had a bad experience. We are working with her to overcome these challenges and want her to get involved with the ward more. We taught her the restoration and she loved it! We are teaching her again tonight!
Tuesday was pretty average. Hialeah is nuts and the traffic is nuts! Some times it is kinda sketchy on bikes but we are being safe so dont worry :) Tuesday morning we had Zone Training. My zone is so sweet! Our zone is nick named the "Hialeah Heartbeat's" so our opening song was "As Heartbeat's In Zion" very interesting.
Wednesday was pretty sweet. We visited a member family named the Figeroa's. Probably one of the chillest family's ever. There house is full of stuffed animal tigers it is hilarious. It is also full of fish tanks. We shared the first vision with them and asked for referrals but no luck. After we went knocking at an apartment complex. People here are either super nice when you knock or way mad. People always get mad at us for "soliciting". We try not to argue and tell them we are missionaries. In the Florida, Fort Lauderdale mission things are different! The way we knock is we share prayers. this is more effective because people here love prayer! And they can feel the spirit super strong. That night we were crossing the street and a guy didnt see us and he shouted many profanities at us. Thursday we went knocking and met many nice people. That night we visited a potential who was a referral from the sisters in our area! His name is Jesus Palacios. he is one of the nicest and most humble guys ever. He is so ripped it is nuts. He has had many trials in his life with his wife and friend passing away. We taught him the Plan of Salvation and we are teaching him again tonight!
Friday was sweet. Mo-tab is a high commodity in these parts. So feel free to send Mo-tab hahahaa. That morning me, elder Pippert, Peterson, Britten did service at Salvation Army. It was awesome! We helped people take their food out to their cars. Our mission president is huge on service so we will be doing it often so i am pumped. After service we went on exchanges. I was with Elder Britten staying at their house in Opa Locka. this place is a whole new world. I live ten minutes away from here where it is 90 percent latino. Opa Locka is 90 percent african american. it is sweet. We taught their investigator Vashti who is getting baptized on the 25th! Also that day we met a bible basher but we didnt argue:) Just bore our testimony's!
Saturday was pretty average.
Sunday was awessssomme. Daylight savings is killer especially when you lose an hour of sleep. Sleep is precious! Church is always awesome. It was kinda disappointing because none of our investigators showed up to church. We have been trying so hard to get them to come. After church we went knocking in an apartment. We weren't having much success. One of the last doors we knocked opened! A super nice guy invited us in. His name was Jawad and he is from Pakistan. He is in america building bridges and got his PHD here. He is way cool. He has met with the missionaries before and has gone to church! We are trying to get him back on track. We are referring him to Elder Peterson and Elder Britten because they are the english missionaries in the areas. We went knocking more after that. We felt we needed to go to this certain apartment. We were knocking, not having much success. This crazy rain storm started to happen. When it rains here it DUMPS. The second to the last door we knocked was a guy named Jose and he is from Venezuala. He is a personal trainer. We are meeting with him again this week! The last door we knocked on was a lady named Lucia. She is from cuba. We shared a prayer with her and she loved it! We taught her the restoration right there! We are also teaching her again this week!
I love you all so much! Sorry for the long email. I think i forgot to send you all my address! It is 17620 NW 67th Ave. Apt.1114 Hialeah, FL 33015. Thank you for all that you do for me! i would love to hear from you. have a solid week.
