Felices Año! Desde Mexicali!

Well things here are Awesome! This week was Awesome! the work here is Awesome! Every thing is Awesome!

Okay well everything is awesome, but I do still live her on earth where many things are imperfect and there are still many problems.

This past week I had the opportunity to go on a Interchange with Elder Kielson (Our district leader). Basically what an exchange is, is when his companion and I switch places for a day. He sleeps at our house, and I sleep at theirs. My day with elder Kielson was great. He and I are the only American missionaries in our district. So for once I under stood what was happening, and he was actually able to teach me somethings with clarity.
Because we are the only American Elders in our area, this was our only chance to do certain things, like visit the Carl's Junior we have in our area. (Other Elders don't like American food). So we had a quick planning session at Carl's Junior while we ate some food to start our day.

Through out the day we actually found lots of people who spoke English to us. Many of whom grew up in America and decided to move back to Mexico to be with family, or where deported. A couple of wich said that they where still having problems understanding Spanish. This was absolutely crazy! Maybe once a week do we regularly talk to some one who knows English but likes to speak Spanish, but to day we found 10+ People who preferred to speak to us in English instead of Spanish.

Our new year was way different but the same. New years eve we visited a family who made us a wonderful dinner and later we also stopped by the Hernandez family who gave us even more food. That night we still returned to our house as usual, planed an went to bed at 10:30 as usual. However I guess the big day here is the first day of the year, because yesterday ever single shop was closed, everyone was in the street with their families with lots of music, food, and very often a tiny Mexican band. Last night there where tons of fire works!

I hope you all had a wonderful time with your family celebrating this new year! Thank you for all your letters! I only have a hour on the computer, but I print all of them off and read them through out the week.

With much Adoration! Keep Yourself! (If you know Spanish, you´ll understand :P )
