hey everyone! it has been a week of weeks. probably the hardest week i have had a very long time emotionally, spiritually, physically. just all around tough. but hey shoutout to my comp elder hill for being the man and making me do things anyways and being hilarious too.
so this week was the grind of all grinds. especially not having a car. but we definitely were blessed! we received 3 media referrals, a referral from another set of missionaries, and a referral from our ward mission leader. (dont worry michael! you are still the greatest media referral of all time!) for those of you who remember that is how we met the greatest person in this mission known as michael cash in fort smith, was through a media referral. and thats how we met the patterson family too! well, ill just give a quick shoutout to them too! hahah they didnt play out too well, but as we were knocking a door nearby one of them we found a family who seemed pretty interested and willing to check it out! she was just like "hmm whats the catch?" haha nothing at all! so we will keep you posted on how that goes!
but i dont really have too much more to say on the week. its just been a grind.
so the scripture of the week comes from 2 nephi 25:26. a lot of people have misconceptions of what the book of mormon actually is. and here it is all wrapped up in one verse!
26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preachof Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write accordingto our prophecies, that our children may know to whatsource they may look for a remission of their sins.
also, i have a couple things to ask. so i just got a new suit, what should i do with my black one? its a little small on me. want me to send it home or see if there is anyone out here who needs one? my ward mission leader needs one he says and he is a little smaller than i am. either way.
also, this favor is a bit bigger of a favor and requires a background story.
so elder gehring's mom passed away when he was about 16 or so. his dad is going to be remarried soon and elder gehring doesnt want to move to alpine. so if its alright with you, maybe a month or so after were home, if he moved in with us for a few months til we had enough to go get our own place. also, ill even be willing to share my room so we dont even have to take up another room. ill leave that up to you. i think it would be really good for me to have someone to help keep me accountable, doing the little things, reading and praying and things like that. all that i ask is that you think and pray about it. ill be fine with whatever you decide.
so here's some pictures from the week!
1. $10 deal right there! it was a steal!
2. this picture honestly describes the week perfectly.
