Elder Hill

Life is busy

hi mom! yeah sorry i totally forgot to send pictures last week ill get some out this week!

yeah i heard the utes won! that always makes me very happy!

oh ok so if there is money on my card i shouldnt need any.

so elder hill has been out about 5 months and came from the area that elder lopez went in and turned around that i referenced on my way here. so his work ethic is really good cause he was trained in a very high functioning area. trained by the companion elder lopez turned it around with. he is super funny too i really enjoy elder hill. its a good break after last transfer. towards the end of the transfer last transfer elder ostler and i were not getting along very well. like at all.

um we can still go to the spag but youre right theres a lot going on that day, do we want to just keep the reservation for then? ill leave that up to you. i would like to go to spag but not the day i get home so ill let you make the call on that. and also on the 17th elder jensen is getting married so ill probably be at his wedding, or skiing.

this past week was one of the hardest working weeks of my mission. just doing a lot of "grinding" which just means talking to everyone. knocking, talking to people walking by. its definitely not the most effective, but its all we have to do right now. and its paying off. its also the most demanding and then you receive blessings for doing the work. this past week we got 3 media referrals, and another referral from the missionaries in bartlesville, and our ward mission leader gave us one last night about 10:15. so thats cool. i really enjoy the ward mission leader here. is name is aaron mallard. the mallard family is awesome! theyre a pretty young family but he is seriously the best ward mission leader i have had. so thats someone ive gotten close to here!

also elder hill just got this bundle and im super jealous, i was wondering if you could get this and ship it directly to me or something like that? that would be awesome! i really do enjoy the floral ties and now they are a big deal i guess.

thank you! love you!

Hello to my favorite Elder!!

How are you? Do you know that today (actually yesterday the 16th) you only have two months until you come home and you received your mission call two years ago today? I thought that was kind of a fun little bit of information. How is the work? How is Grove? What do you do on your P-days these days? How is Elder Hill? How long has he been out?

Your voting ballot came but we haven't gotten in the mail yet. You said that you were running low on money. Dad said that you had money in your back account but do you need him to put more in there for you? Let us know we can certainly do that for you.

It's been a very busy week at work. I had to plan and present training sessions. One the two year old teachers and one for Learning Tree teachers and one for several other schools that have the same grant that we do. It is finally over and I am exhausted. I had to get up at 5 am on Saturday to go to the training. After that I went to our Relief Society Super Saturday which one really fun. I did a few really easy crafts that I was able to finish that day. After that Dad and I went to Jeremy's to watch the UTE's game. They won again which always makes the games fun to watch. Ryan, Carolyn and Lucas also came.

Peter Krauel came home from his mission this week. He is so very sad and wants to go back. He came home for health reasons and I guess he will need to be home for a minimum of 6 months before he can go back. His mission president also wants him to come back and hasn't sent his official release. His parents are pretty sad also. Please keep them in your prayers.

I am really tired of not being able to walk on my own yet but I am working on having a better attitude about it. I am getting better at using the crutches even though I don't know how much weight I am putting on my foot. I did go buy the shoes that the Doctor told me I would need to wear. The gym shoes are pretty good but the black ones I got to wear to work are very ugly. The guy that helped us at the shoe store that the doctor told us to go to told us how bad Vans are for your feet so be careful You don't want to end up like me. It is no fun!! I go back to the doctor on Friday and I certainly hope I will be able to walk then. Pray for me that I will be able to walk soon.

Do you still want to go to The Old Spaghetti Factory when you come home? We have reservations for December 23rd but I can change them. I am not sure what time though because you arrive at 4:18 pm and then you will have to go see the Stake President. Let me know what you think.

I have been missing seeing pictures from you the last couple of weeks. I love it when you send pictures. Please tell me everything about what you have been doing. I love the letters that you write and hearing about the people you meet and the things that you do. Are there any people in the ward that you have dinner with or are close to?

Lucas is getting so cute!! You are going to love him when you get home. He is so busy and loves playing with balls and just playing with everyone. He absolutely loves Jeremy so much. If Jeremy is here he doesn't want anyone else.

I chose a scripture from the Doctrine and Covenants Section 58:2

2 For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.

You are a wonderful missionary and you are doing such a great job. Take care of yourself, be obedient, pray always, be obedient, work hard, stay focused and finish strong!! You can do this!!

I will love you forever
Mom
