oh yes i did get the package and it was much appreciated thank you!
so everything in grove is goig well! we got a car share started last week. so what that means is that every wednesday to wednesday at district meetings we either get a car or a different area gets the car. this past week we had the car so this wednesday we got the car so this wednesday we'll be back on bikes. but we got the car and worked super hard. we led out the zone i think, which had kind of been my goal since i got here was to be the leading area in the zone because why end just being average? i was talking with elder lopez and another elder who served in the fort smith zone while i was down there and basically they just said, why not teach? so we just teach basically everyone we see, its exhausting but its a good time! we just hope its inspiring for someone else.
hows your foot? so i dont have too much time today, were going up to a members house and going to throw some pottery so im very excited for that! but thanks for the package! love you!

Did you get the package we sent? You didn't say last week. Is there anything else that you need?
Hello Elder Olsen!!
What is all the news from Grove, OK? I hope things are looking up for you and that you have had a great week!! Did you ever arrange to have a car part of the time? That would be awesome if that worked out for you. How is the work? Do you have any investigators?
Melissa Farnworth got her test results back from her tumor and it turns out that she has Lymphoma Cancer. It has been a pretty hard diagnosis for them. They called Joseph in the MTC to tell him. I went with my counselors to visit her the day after she was diagnosed. That was pretty interesting because I have to sit down and slide up stairs on my bottom to get into houses. I managed it though. Please pray their family it is going to be a hard thing for them to go through.
Madison Ratcliff came on this week on Thursday. I saw her at Regional Conference today and she looks really good. She isn't sure how she feels about coming home yet. She asked about you and said to tell you to plan stuff to do because she is feeling really useless. It is a hard transition to come home and I am sure she will adjust soon. I think Cole is here for just a little while longer but I am not sure exactly how long. I don't really know what Maddy is planning to do now. She just missed getting back into school.
Carolyn and Lucas went to Hurricane today (they didn't end up going last weekend) and Hilary and Robert went to Robert's aunt's house for dinner so it was just us and Jeremy and Ryan for dinner. We played Canasta for almost the first time since Lucas was born. It was pretty fun but not as fun as playing with Lucas. Jeremy and I beat Dad and Ryan!!
I don't know if you have heard or not but Utah barely beat BYU in football last night. It was a very sloppy game and I wasn't sure that the UTES would be able to do it. They had 6 turnovers and BYU had 3. The whole thing was pretty sad.but in the end Utah won so I guess that is the most important thing. We all went out to Jeremy's house to watch the game. He made root beer pulled pork and it was really good. It was fun to all be together. I texted Phillip during the game also. He wasn't feeling well so had called in sick to work. He still isn't feeling well today. I hope he gets better soon.
We are watching the Miss America pageant because Dick and Karen Wilson's grand daughter is representing Utah in it. I am not sure if she is a finalist or not because we just turned it on and I can't tell yet if she is in the top 15. I just checked Karen's facebook page and she isn't so that is kind of sad but it is still kind of fun to know the grandparents of a contestant. I guess I don't have to watch it now, I haven't watched it for many years.
Regional Conference was really good today. Elder Ballard was presiding and I really loved his talked. He talked about ways to stay strong in the church. I really wish these talks would be available on line to watch again and print and study. I really enjoyed all of the speakers. Dad was supposed to set up chairs at 9 am so I went over with him so I could sit in the chapel and get a handicapped parking spot. Pretty sad isn't it? It was all good we got a good parking spot and a good seat in the chapel. I saw our Missionaries for the first time since the last transfer. We have one new Elder but I didn't see his name. It was also the first time I saw Elder Ferron since my surgery. He is the one from Arkansas. He asked about it and asked if there is anything they could do for us. I feel bad because I haven't been able to have them for dinner for awhile. I hope to be able to have them again the next time we feed them. That won't be for awhile because we share them with another Stake now.
Work was easier for me this week than last week. It might be that my foot is healing or maybe because it was only a 3 day work week because of Labor Day.
Dad finished the path on Friday night. It looks really nice. I actually can't go look at it so Dad took a picture of it for me.
The scripture that I want to share with you this week is 3 Nephi 19:20-23. I just really like this whole chapter but I thought I would share this part.
20 Father, I thank thee that thou hast given the Holy Ghost unto these whom I have chosen; and it is because of their belief in me that I have chosen them out of the world.
21 Father, I pray thee that thou wilt give the Holy Ghost unto all them that shall believe in their words.
22 Father, thou hast given them the Holy Ghost because they believe in me; and thou seest that they believe in me because thou hearest them, and they pray unto me; and they pray unto me because I am with them.
23 And now Father, I pray unto thee for them, and also for all those who shall believe on their words, that they may believe in me, that I may be in them as thou, Father, art in me, that we may be one.
Take care of yourself, work hard, stay focused, enjoy your mission!!
