i have no idea what my address is. my new companion is named elder ostler, he was trained out here in sallisaw oklahoma for one transfer then went up to grove for his second transfer. so he has only been out for roughly 3 months. i actually went on exchanges with him when he was down in sallisaw, so i already know him. im partly nervous to be serving with him too, he is a little much but a good kid all around.

so im getting transferred to grove oklahoma. i would be pretty excited except that they dont have a car which is dumb because the area is freaking huge. all because some missionaries drove out of zone. but ill see if i can get one back out there. its in the bentonville stake and fairly close to cassville! i really do hope i get transferred one more time up to cassville.
so i actually need to get some packing done so i dont have a ton of time but elder pack is going to be sending me some pictures that i can send your way shortly. oh and also im going back down to district leader which im pretty bummed about cause i feel like i just became a zone leader and also i really struggled as district leader cause my district didnt really take me seriously which was annoying cause i was just trying to help. and the leadership in the mission kind of sucks just because they all seem to act like they are on a pedestal which is annoying and so majority of my district is "higher" than me, which i really do hope they dont act like, cause they arent. so im a little nervous to see how my district treats me. hopefully all goes well

Hi Elder Olsen!!
I was very happy that you let me know that you wouldn't email until Wednesday. I would have been sad all day so that was very thoughtful of you!!
How are you? How is the work and all of your investigators? Did you get transferred or a new companion? How is the weather there? Have you had any of the rain that they have had in the South? It looked to me like it was over part of Arkansas but I couldn't tell if it was over Ft. Smith or not. Hopefully if you get any of it it won't be as bad as it has been in Louisiana. I know you have been in some pretty severe weather since you've been there though. It would just be nice if this storm misses you.
I have had a great day today!! I have had three visitors today. First Allyson Krauel came to see me then Sherrie Jorgensen came to see me and then Cheyenne Hunt came to see me. That is the most visitors I have had in one day. Last Friday both Jeremy and Hilary came to see me so that was two visits in one day and that was great too!! Before that Sherrie Jorgensen came to see me last Tuesday and Chris Kerner came to see me on Thursday. It is very nice to have visitors. Otherwise I just watch TV all day. I did go to the Relief Society Activity last Thursday in a wheel chair so that was exciting. I also went to Relief Society on Sunday and to Ward Council that day also. It is good to be able to get out of the house a little bit. I can't do the stairs on crutches so I have to slide down and up on my bottom so I always need someone to help me. It is always a good time. Dad helped me sit out on the back steps for about an hour on Saturday while he worked in the backyard and that was nice also. Dad has been so good to me and is taking such great care of me. He is a really great person so I hope you know that. I have been watching a lot of the Olympics and I have been enjoying that but it does get old. I also read the new Harry Potter book. I liked it but I don't think it is as good as the other ones. I don't think there is as much depth in the plot as the others seem to have.
It was Joseph Farnworth's farewell last Sunday but I didn't go so I can't tell you about it. He leaves on August 24th but Stake Conference is this weekend so he had his farewell last Sunday. Dad said it was really good and the Ryttings also spoke so I am sure it was really good.
Peter Krauel left the MTC last week to go to Florida and he eventually made it okay. He was caught in the whole Delta Airline thing. He got to Atlanta okay but then had to spend the night in the Atlanta airport and finally made it to Florida late the next night. He was with about 28 other missionaries. It was quite an adventure for them I guess. Allyson said he is enjoying his mission so far and really like his companion so that is a good thing. He has been sick for a few days though. Apparently his MTC companion was sick in the MTC and Peter got it when he got to Florida. I guess that happens when you are exposed to new germs.
Please tell me everything about what you have been doing!! I am really looking forward to hearing from you and I am quite bored most of the time. I would really like some pictures if that is possible. I really like to see your cute face!!
Cheyenne was talking about you today and was saying that she hopes you will be Ken's Home teaching companion again and she said that Sister Chadwick would like that also. I told her that you probably would go to the singles ward but I didn't know for sure.
I haven't heard from Ryan for awhile so I am not sure how they are doing. Carolyn's brother went to their house for dinner on Sunday and the week before that Lucas was sick and they didn't come. Phil texts me every few days. I guess the kids go back to school this week. Amy goes back on Thursday and Christian and Logan go back on Friday. It seems to early for school to start already. Oh well, I guess that is the way it goes.
I was able to make some roasted tomato sauce with the tomatoes out of our garden. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do anything with them but with Dad's help I was able to get it done so that was nice.
I go back to the doctor on Thursday this week and I hope he will be able to remove the stitches, steri-strips and the two pins that are sticking out of the end of my toes. I don't want to go back to work until those are removed because the danger of having them bumped would be too great. I am hoping to go back to work soon in some ways and in some ways not. It would be nice to do something other than just sit here but my foot doesn't feel all that great when it isn't elevated. I guess I will just see what the doctor says on Thursday.
Well now that I have told you about everything that I have done this whole week I guess I will go.
Take care of yourself, pray always, study and work hard, be obedient, stay focused and finish strong!! You are wonderful and I love you and four months from today you will be home!!
