The Piano Guys

hey mom! yeah i probably wont be listening to the piano guys when i get home.. ill have other options at that point. but theyve been good to me out here though.

i am definitely going to keep this short today, but the sherwoods knew i was going to be up there so they came down. we both knew so it wasnt a surprise for anyone.

also just found out that even with the week extension they are sending us home the week i was supposed to go home originally. so december 16th. just a fun fact!

so the family's scheduled baptism date is for this saturday but they still have issues they are working through, so we will keep working with them. their name is the pattersons. but we will for sure keep working with them.

anyways, like i said, im going to keep it short, i am really not in the mood to email today, i love you!

Dear Elder Olsen,

I have decided to start my letters this way because I just read something about what an amazing title it is and you only get to have it for 2 years. Apostles are the only other people that have that title. I thought it was pretty cool.

Everything here is going pretty well. Peter Krauel gave his farewell talk today and goes into the MTC on Wednesday. I didn't make it over to their house because I had Ward Council. Allyson is have some knee problems and she goes into the doctor on Thursday to see what they can do for it. Her regular doctor sounded like the only option would be surgery.

Dad and I went to see The Piano Guys. It was really good. They are pretty funny in person. I am not sure Dad really liked it a whole lot but he is the one that wanted me to buy the tickets. There were quite a few people from the ward there. We saw the Woods and Stockton and Corrine Morris. Connie Spanton-Jex was there and so were the Ryttings. I really like the way the combine classical and contemporary music. I hope you will not totally hate them when you come home and can start listening to other music again.

I did manage to find The Lower Lights cd. I haven't mailed it yet so is there anything else you want before I do?

The Stake float is done and ready for the parade. It is out at the Expo Mart now and Dad and I are going to out to sit with it tomorrow night. I think it might be fun to be able to see all of the other floats also.

We celebrated my birthday today because we were gone on my birthday and then last week was the family reunion. It was nice Hilary got me flowers and Ryan and Carolyn brought cake and ice cream. They all went in together and got me a certificate to have the house cleaned. I am really excited for that. Lucas was so cute and kept putting his finger into the frosting and feeding it to me.

I have been trying to get the house deep cleaned lately and I have decided that the problem with that is that it is really hard work, takes and long time and no one notices. Oh well I know it is cleaner so that will make me happy.

Hilary and Robert got back from Denver on Friday night. They seemed to have a good time but Hilary is really happy to be home. Probably not all that happy to have to go back to work tomorrow.

How are you? How is the work? How is the family that you are working with? When is their baptism scheduled? I am happy that you are staying in Fort Smith for another transfer.

It was so fun to get pictures from Sister Sherwood!! I bet you were so happy to see them? What were they doing in Bentonville? Did you know they were coming or was it a surprise? It was super nice of her to send me some pictures. You looked really happy and that is awesome!!

I have been thinking about a lot of stuff lately and I started thinking about my Dad and how after he had his stoke he just kept on doing things. He learned how to do so many things with one hand. He washed dishes with one hand and build fences and mowed the lawn. He did just about everything with one hand and always just kept working. It was a great example for me and I am so grateful for that. That started me thinking about a scripture that is one of my favorites that I want to share with you. I have been forgetting to share one with you lately and have been missing you sharing a scripture with me also. I think I have shared this with you before but I really like it. It is Ether 12:27.

27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

Take care of yourself, pray always, be obedient, wash your sheets, stay focused and enjoy your mission!!

I will love you forever
