Dave's Baptism, Visiting with Sister Loveland and a Bee sting

Well everyone i dont really have a ton to say today. the fact of the matter is is that i really just want to be doing other things. i apologize, i love you all, i really do. but i just dont really feel like being all cooped up here on a computer all day.

so we will keep this brief.

well as many of you know, the weather sure is warming up down here. and many of you know, i dont like that. you know what that means? humidity. humidity so bad you can swim through the air, -0 energies (cause the heat drains you), and lastly, bugs and creatures of every kind.

but nonetheless the truth of god will go forth bodly nobly and independant. even if its not easy due to the elements.

we had a great week! we have been on the grind and it seems to all be going well. im sure many of you remember me talking about this guy that we received a referral for last week and everything was going great and were just like ok whats the catch, and then maybe there isnt one? well, there isnt one! he is awesome and will hopefully be getting baptized soon! hes a way awesome guy!

we had a baptism on saturday which is always a blast.

we committed a family that we met a couple weeks ago to baptism and they accepted and said they would pray about it! so all is going well. and of course, since everything is going so well, transfer calls come creeping up on us. we will find out next week.. i guess theyre changing when we get calls but not when we get transferred. so.. yeah y'all wont even know where of if im going until im already there, or still here (preferrably still here with elder gehring for another transfer)

so yesterday we were asked to give a talk in sacrament and so that went really well. sister loveland came down and was kind of like the 4th batter in baseball whatever that is called. (the 4th batter is generally the best batter and can be set up for a grand slam.) so anyways, after church everyone is all pumped up and so we head to our apartment to grub real quick before heading out to van buren to go teach some people with sister loveland. so here we are heading up the stairs into our apartment, keys in hand ready to unlock the door when all of a sudden my hand hurts super bad and i drop the keys, when all of a sudden i see a swarm of wasps just coming at us, so we take off running. that punk got me right on the hand! so thats not good, many of you know, and many of you dont, i dont have a good track record with being stung. so at this point my whole hand is throbbing and swelling so i did as i was told as i was younger, i wont bore you with all the details, but everything is doing fine. it was just a dramatic experience. then we got rid of them/ their nest under our stairs with some mosquito repellant and a lighter. works every time. dont play with fire kids.

weve had a couple of baptisms the past couple weeks so weve been able to reflect on baptism and what it is and means so heres a good baptism scripture. mosiah 18:8-10.

And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, hereare the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) andnow, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, andto be called his people, and are willing to bear oneanother’s burdens, that they may be light;

9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea,and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and tostand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, andin all places that ye may be in, even until death, that yemay be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those ofthe first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life—

10 Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts,what have you against being baptized in the name of theLord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into acovenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep hiscommandments, that he may pour out his Spirit moreabundantly upon you?

anyways, thats been the most of my week. i hope you all enjoyed that as much as i did! again, i really do love you all, just not feeling this whole emailing thing today.
