How is your eye?

sorry i wasnt able to get a letter out last week! due to p-day being on monday but not being able to write it kind of threw everything off. but this week ill be able to get a letter out. and yes, i do get your letters. thank you! and also, its been pretty hard, but i finally was able to get a picture of a cardinal. ive been trying since you told me to get one on christmas. its been a month but i got it.

so yeah my eye really hurt for like 3 or 4 hours. then when the doctor put the eye numbing drops in i felt fine. and this is a direct quote: "so your eye probably doesnt hurt too bad right now does it? well, thats because of the numbing drops i just put in your eye. now when that wears off, your eye is going to be in a lot of pain again. your eye lid will be fine but your eye itself will hurt do you know why?" "nope" "well, basically i just dug a hole in your eye, so your eye is going to really be hurting in about a half hour to an hour. so when it does just put some eye lubricant on it and thatll help ease the pain a little. and your eye by tomorrow will be about 60-80% better, then about 90 by the next day then after that you should be fine." that was pretty spot on if you ask me.

anyways, ill get running now. ill write you a letter this week. love you!

Hello Elder Olsen!!

Wow!! How is your eye? I bet that hurt like crazy!! I had a small piece of fuzz or something in my eye today during church and it hurt and was so bothersome. I can't even imagine how much having a splinter stuck in your cornea hurt. I hope everything is okay now.

I hope you have missed all the bad weather that they were having back East. Dad said that it looked like it missed you. We had some snow last night and today. We woke up to about 5.5 inches of snow today. I was really glad that it was Sunday and I didn't have to drive very far. I guess it is a good thing that we finally had some snow. We have been having some rain and all of our snow had melted.

We celebrated Ryan's birthday today because Carolyn has to work tomorrow. We had Chicken Tika Masala. Ryan and Carolyn came out early and Ryan actually made the curry himself while I finished the cake and the naan bread. I was way behind today because I had gone to visit Sister Pryor today after all my meetings. She is having knee replacement surgery on Wednesday this week and we wanted to see what we could do to help her. She is pretty scared so if you would please pray for her that would be great. Anyway we celebrated Ryan's birthday today with everyone. Ryan and Lucas will come out again tomorrow night so we can watch Lucas while Ryan studies.

I might get to go visiting with the missionaries again. There is a less active sister in the ward that the Sister missionaries used to go see all the time and was coming to church. It has been quite awhile since she has been here. I will be able to go with the missionaries to see if Dad will go too. I hope he will agree to go with us. I really miss her. She is such a great lady. We have some really great Elders right now and they seem to be doing a great job.

Tell me how everything is going. Tell me about your investigators and people you are working with.

I didn't get a letter from you this week so I missed that if you sent one maybe I will get it soon. I hope you are getting the letters that I write to you. I am trying to keep these short and to write additional letters to you every week.

Have an Awesome week!!

I will love you forever
Mom
