Happy Birthday to YOU!!

thank you! so yeah this week has been pretty good! so yes i did get transferred. im going to the boonies of the boonies. its a tiny tiny town just outside of springfield called ava, missouri. so im pretty excited! i hear there is a big aumish population up there so thats pretty exciting.

so sister sherwood emailed me and said she texted you so maybe that answers your question? im eating dinner with the sherwoods tomorrow night! i am beyond excited! easily my favorite family i have met and will probably meet thus far. i also got a thanksgiving card from them today in the mail which was exciting. speaking of mail, i got the package and just wanted to say thank you! we just went up to the fayettechill store and i used the gift card which was much appreciated.

so not too much to say, i had a good week, and yes we went up to this big sports complex last week as a zone and palyed wiffle ball and basketball and it was really fun. we just had an elder go home from the zone last week which was really sad cause i really looked up to him and he was a really good missionary but it will all be alright.

so this week just after this im going up to the mansion one last time and hanging out with my fellow fayettevillians for the last time so i need to head out soon and probably wont have a ton of time for the group email today. so i dont know my address for my new pace yet so you can just send my packages and stuff to the mission office and they will forward them out to me. i believe. i know they'll do that for letters. if you need the address i gave it to jerry. i seem to have left it at the apartment.

oh and also, yeah the weather has been really pretty bad lately. no ice or anything yet (thankfully) its just been in the upper 30's to low 40's and has rained since thursday and hasnt stopped. they predicted about 8 inches out of this storm. i think that is way too much rain. luckily nothing too torrential or anything. its just rained steadily for the past 4 days.

anyways thats about all for now. love you!

Happy Birthday Dear Andrew,
Happy Birthday to you!!

I hope you have a very Happy Birthday!!! Do you know I have never been with any of my children on their 20th birthdays? Not even Hilary, the year she turned 20 she actually had a birthday and she went to LA. Oh well, that's okay. Who are you having dinner with that night? Do they know that it is your birthday? Your birthday package should be there tomorrow (Monday). It is kind of a small package because I didn't want to send too much just before you get transferred, if you get transferred. I will send you some more stuff, including peanut butter Rice Krispie Treats as soon as you tell me where to send them. I have been unable to figure out some of the Christmas music that you asked for. The last song you told me about was just a single and could only get it on a MP3. Please if it is possible have someone send me a picture of you on your birthday. I would just love to see you cute face!!

Speaking of pictures did you get any of the ones from Christian's baptism? It was such a nice day and so good to see Phillip and his family again. The weather there was so beautiful!! I wish I was still there. It was 85 degrees there and it is 22 degrees here and snowing. Not much but it is snowing. We went to Solvang for breakfast which is always great. I love the pancakes there and the Olsen's bakery shop. We weren't there for very long so we didn't get to do much, but that's okay it was good to just see them all again.

I was off all last week but I seemed to keep really busy. I got your package in the mail and had to shop for Thanksgiving and do some cooking. Then I did a little shopping but not too much and then I had to get the Sub for Santa ready to go up at church today. I did get one Christmas tree up and a couple of decorations and Dad thinks we need to be done. I think I won't be happy if I don't put up more decorations than that. I'm not sure I am going to put all of them up this year. I guess we will see what happens.

How was your Thanksgiving? I kept hoping to get or see a picture of you that day. So if you have any pictures taken that day that you could send I would really love that!! I kept seeing pictures on Facebook of all the Elders that everyone had at their houses for dinner but your cute face never appeared. Oh well. What did you have? Any new kinds of foods that you liked that we can start including in our Thanksgiving dinner? I have to tell you about our turkey.....we smoked it. It was so good!! I think we are going to do that every year now. We might even have to have turkey more often after tasting it. It was really quite amazing and made such great sandwiches also. I had just a small turkey because we didn't have very many people this year so not too many left overs. Hilary and Robert went to Robert's parents' house. Jeremy, Ryan and Carolyn were here and it was really nice to have them.

Lucas is getting really close to walking and has taken a step or two. He is working on getting his balance and is really good at it. It is so fun to watch!!

So the big question is did you get transferred? Do you have a new companion? Tell me about everything you have been doing. Did you do something fun last Monday? I thought maybe you were going to do something because you didn't have much time to email.

I understand the weather there is really bad. Have you had some ice storms? It kind of looks like it when I watch the weather reports.

Is there anything you need or want before I send out your next package? Do you need any new garments or maybe thermal garments? I think you only had a couple of pairs so if you would like more let me know.

Are you doing anything with the new Christmas video, A Savior is Born? I watched it today. I always really like them. I teach Relief Society next week and so I want to be able to show it. We will have to see if I can figure out how to use it.

Oh and Shanna Stromberg, my secretary, was released last week and Sister Kerner is my new Secretary. I had a PPI with Bishop today and he told me that he isn't planning on releasing me anytime soon. That's okay it gives me an opportunity to be of service to more people and get to know and visit more people that way.

Dad says to tell you that you can you get flu shot at any pharmacy like Walgreens or CVS or Rite Aide.

The scripture that I would like to share with you this week is D&C 45:1-5. We talked about it in Sunday School and I thought it was a really good scripture.

Have a Happy, Happy Birthday!!

I'll love you forever,
Mom
