Some Family News

so yeah i figured it all out for what im supposed to do as a district leader. it wasnt that hard. just numbers and set up a district meeting every wednesday, which isnt too bad. i had my first one last week and it was really cool! it was a lot of fun and it was spiritual too! that was my goal. i want to have fun district meetings that my district will look forward too and also have them be spiritual so it will stick with them.

so not much exciting happened this week. everything cancelled. but thats ok. it was hard to find things to do but we found things to do.

so i need to get heading out pretty soon so ill make it quick. but so yeah i was able to see the blood moon. it was pretty cool. we watched it with our recent convert and just hung out outside and talked with him while watching it.

i had a really fun exchange too with an elder in my district in siloam springs. he cut my hair too. it was really fun.

so yes i had heard about the refugees recently. i thought it was really pretty crazy. theres a lot of stuff going on over there. its pretty scary.

also, can you send me a new razor? i accidentally broke a little piece of the cover on mine so it cuts me up pretty bad. im not really sure how it happened but oh well.

anyways, ill get to getting for now. dont worry, ill still send my group email. love you!

Hi there Elder Olsen!!

How are you? How is the work? Are you learning what you are supposed to do as a District Leader? I have full confidence in your ability to be a great District Leader and a trainer. I think it is awesome!! I also think you should count the baptism as yours because you are the one that taught him and worked with him to actually get him baptized!!

Wow it is almost October and it was a year ago that you got your call. It is so awesome don't you think?

Hilary and I are going to see Def Leopard tomorrow night. Styx and Tesla will also be there. I don't even know who Tesla is so I hope I will like them. As long as they're not a rap group I am probably okay. It should be fun though!! I just googled them they are a rock group so I will be good. Have you heard of them? I just pulled them up on youtube they aren't too bad at all.

Ryan will probably tell you but he got a new job. He will be working for Staker Parsons. They are large construction company. He is very excited about it. He starts in two weeks.

There is some other family news also. Mira (Dee's daughter) was diagnosed with MS. They don't know much yet. She goes to see a specialist on October 8th. Please pray for her. Tony (Noland's son) got married yesterday. We didn't know until today when Aunt Mary called. The Church is sending Bruce and Mary to Germany for 2 months to help with the refugee crisis there. Is case you haven't heard which is a great possibility people of fleeing Syria to get away from ISIS. It is all pretty scary. Germany is the only country that will let them stay and their resources are getting drained pretty rapidly.

I think that is all the family news this week. Oh wait, Dad is going to but a new truck. It was either that or put thousands of dollars into a truck that would still only be worth a thousand dollars. He is pretty excited about it but hasn't found one that he really wants yet. But he is looking.

I don't know if you have heard this or not but the Utes beat Oregon 62-20. It was televised on regular Fox TV so we got to watch it. It was a pretty fun game to watch.

We have been watching the lunar eclipse of the super blood moon. It is pretty cool. Did you get to see it?

I pulled up the video that you suggested that we listen to. You are right it is really good. I posted it to my facebook and everyone loved it. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I went to Women's Conference last night. It was really good as usual. Sister Wixon talked about everyone's divine nature that comes from God. President Uchtdorf that was a story about a young girl who spent a summer with her great aunt. It was basically telling us that we can choose to be happy in the circumstances that we have in our lives. I really liked it a lot!! I am really looking forward to watching general conference. I guess you heard that Richard G. Scott passed away. His funeral is tomorrow. It's too bad I won't be able to see it. That also means that we will be getting 3 new apostles this conference. It will be interesting to see who they will be.

The scripture I would like to share with you is Romans 8:16-17. It was from our Sunday School lesson and I really liked it.

Take care of yourself, trust the Lord, pray always and work hard!!

I will love you forever
Mom
