Everyone in the ward feeds the missionaries

was the town called bella vista? thats the only town i can think of thats north west of bentonville. however, bella vista isnt really small. its a really nice area too. i think its a pretty big retirement place. not really sure though. i drove through it on my way to bentonville when i got transferred. thats about it.

so to answer your question about the members here. so yeah i really like the members here. this ward is apparently one of the most supportive of the missionaries. however, no. i havent really connected with any like i did with those in cassville. like we get fed by EVERYONE in the ward. which is good, but i only get to see some families like 2 or 3 times. where in cassville, we got fed by the same people every week so we got to really know the people. it was awesome. but yeah other than that not really, i havent really connected with the people here like in cassville. there is a less active family i really enjoy seeing though. theyre actually reactivating. their oldest son is really into some of the music i was into so we get along pretty well. and theres this one family who is always having some sort of get-together/ party at their house and their a really young couple and invite a bunch of the other young families in the ward over too. those are my favorite people in this ward. if i ended up moving to fayetteville to go to college, i would make sure i go over there and hang out with them like all the time. their great people. but i wouldnt end up going to the U of A. but im just saying if i did, id go hang out with them. however the U of A is a very nice place.

so yeah this past week was a lot like the week before. trying and trying and just getting rejected. but we just keep on keeping on. even if its hard. and yeah the weather has cooled down a bunch this past week. we got hit by some storms that dropped the temp down on wednesday to like the mid 60's everyone had their jackets on but enjoying themselves. where i just had my short sleeved shirt on telling them how great it was.

and also no i dont need anything else. that should be good for now.

so one day i was on an exchange, back in my missouri days. i was up in aurora and the other elder i was with, he said that same thing about moroni's promise. ask if its not true. see what happens. and ever since then ive thought of it like that. it was a cool experience.

anyways, ill get going for now. love you! hopefully you enjoyed that picture i sent. the computers here arent as good and are really slow and crappy so its hard to send pictures.

How are you? I hope you have had a better week this week than the one the week before. But I am so very proud of your attitude about learning something from the experience. You are a great example to me. Tell all about everything that you are doing. How is your area? Are there any members there that you are close to? You never seem to talk about anyone there like you did the people from Cassville. I guess all areas will be a little bit different.

If you think about it could you ask Jesus when and where his farewell will be? I would really like to go if I can. By now he is down to just a couple of more weeks before he enters the MTC. Dad said they aren't sending any Elders from the US to the Mexico MTC anymore. Something to do with the food and it making all the Elders from here sick. I know when Alex Moyes was there they had some issues with food there also.

I was listening to Satellite radio the other day (Dad got a free trial for getting the car repaired or something) anyway there was a guy that called up from a little town in Arkansas. I can't remember the name of it but he said it was North West of Bentonville so I figured it was in your mission. I thought that was pretty cool.

Not much has been happening around here but I seem to keep pretty busy. Dad and I went to the World Stage Under the Stars on Monday and on Tuesday we went to Dad's company party. We won wine glasses. I am not too sure what we will do with them. I think we could keep them and serve Martinellis in them but Dad doesn't think so. Jeremy agrees with me. I really don't even know who I could give them away to. Oh well, some years we win better stuff. I also tended Lucas a couple of times this week. Once on Wednesday when Ryan had to work late and Carolyn was working and once on Saturday when Jeremy, Ryan and Carolyn went to see a movie. He sure is a cute baby. It won't be long before he is crawling. It is really great to have a grand baby that lives close to us.

We are planning on going to St. George this weekend to go to Tuacahn with Ryan and Carolyn. We are going to see Beauty and the Beast. I really liked it last year so I am sure I will like it this year also. I am really looking forward to it.

Work has been really busy. We are trying to get ready to start the new preschool year and it does seem to be lots of work this year and then we have had lots of meetings to go along with it.

The garden is doing well. We only planted one eggplant this year and I have already had 5 eggplants. We of course had eggplant Parmesan today and Dad even liked it. He said it was the best I have ever made. I honestly thought it tasted just like all the other ones I have ever made. I made it the same. Oh well. At least he liked it. We have also got tons of zucchini again this year so I have been making cookies, cupcakes and bread. I think maybe I should freeze some also so I can use it later.

I bought you a new pair of pants yesterday so I will have to get them in the mail soon. Is there anything else that you need before I mail it off?

I can't believe that August is almost over. I just hate it when summer is over. I hope it will cool off some for you though. September is a really pretty month for the weather here so I hope it will be the same for you too.

Today in church (our ward, we also went to Hilary's and Robert's ward to listen to them speak) the speakers talked about Moroni's promise. It was very interesting. They talked about how it was worded and I have never thought about it like that before. They talked about how it says to ask if these things are not true. Two of the speakers are converts to the church. One if pretty recently and the other has only been a member for a few years. Anyway they mentioned that really helped them. I just thought it was pretty interesting. Hilary and Robert gave really good talks also. Robert talked about the parable of the sower and Hilary talked about getting ready for the Second Coming.

I am sure Jeremy will tell you but he sold his house and bought another one. Actually they are both under contract which just kind of means all the finances and paperwork and things still need to be approved. I think he is planning on moving in two or three weeks. His new house is gorgeous.

The scripture I want to share with you this week is Moroni 7:22-23. I can't remember if I have ever shared that with you but it is a good scripture anyway.

Take care, pray always, continue to work hard, wash your sheets, be obedient and enjoy your mission.

I will love you forever!!
