Prairie Grove, Arkansas

Caleb Hall

The Fresh Prince Of Prairie Grove.

Now this is a story all about how my life got flip-turned upside down and id to take a minute just sit right there, ill tell you how i became prince of a town called PG

Cassville, Missouri born and raised! At the Sherwoods is where i spent most of my days. chillin out, maxin, relaxin all cool. tractin some houses outside the school.

when a couple of guys, who were both pretty good. started calling people in the neighborhood. (in case anyone was wondering, its the zone leaders with transfer calls) i answered one little call and i got scared they said, "your moving with elder huffman to a town called PG."

I begged and pleaded but i just couldnt stay. but i packed up my bags and went on my way. i took one last pic with my comp elder stubbs i put on my name tag and said "time to spread my wings!"

thats about all i can remember of the fresh prince theme song. i hope that was as much fun for y'all as it was for me.

so now that ive taken up a bunch of your time ill keep it brief. this week was a rough one for our young buck. ok, im not going to do that whole 3rd person thing again, that took way too long. but yeah it was hard.

sometimes you just feel like your efforts arent going towards much. like you just try and try and nothing comes from it. this week we had a mission wide goal to find 4 new investigators and i thought this was awesome. ever since i was shotgunned here with elder huffman everyone from our teaching pool keeps slowly dropping us. and so i thought this would help immensely to help boost our teaching pool back up cause it is continually diminishing. so anyways this week we came out swinging. elder hall and i hit the pavement. by the end of the week looking back at our numbers, no new investigators... that was hard. i dont think i have worked as hard on my mission as i had this past week. however, instead of being discouraged about it, learn something from it.

so instead of taking a bunch of time breaking it down day by day heres what we did all day every day. we tracted, we contacted potentials, we contacted former investigators, we contacted referrals, we had active member lessons, and we asked for referrals. that was pretty much it for the week. nearly worked myself to death. i have never been more tired. but thats a good thing. i feel like i can honestly say for this past week i tried my hardest. even when i was ready to call it a day and just be done trying for the week, i kept pushing. it was probably one of the hardest weeks i have had on my mission. but i am very pleased with it. like i said there is something to learn.

i learned how hard i can actually push myself. i learned how hard i can work and how hard i NEED to work EVERY DAY.

so the scripture i wanted to leave with y'all is from 2 timothy 4: 17. originally i had a different one in mind for this week but i just didnt feel fitting. maybe sometime in the future. so it says:

17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

i just wanted to say how much i love this work. like yeah it's hard and yeah at times i get discouraged, but it really is the best work you can do! at times it feels tedious and feels like the same routine day in and day out, but it is the most rewarding work i have ever done! anyways, i love you all! have a great week! and work hard!
