Prairie Grove, Arkansas

Elder Huffman

The Wedding and Reunion

did they get my card? i was hoping i sent it in enough time but not sure when it got there. so today were going to go up to bentonville (home of walmart) and go to a museum called crystal bridges. bentonville is a super nice area. (thanks to all the walmart money) and its like a super high quality art museum and heres the thing, most of it is free, so thats awesome! we have a member taking us up there and were meeting up with the bentonville misisonaries. so were pretty excited about that.

i am going to be be completely honest right now. my first transfer i did not wash my sheets. but ever since my 2nd transfer, it was actually sometime between the 2nd and 3rd transfer, i have washed them every week. so its not that. elder huffman got sick and we both tried really hard so i wouldnt get sick but it just happened. living with and being with someone 24/7 who is sick can be hard to not pick it up. so yeah thats how. we arent sure how he got it, but i guess its been going around. i went to the urgent care last tuesday (which was day 9 of being sick.) and they gave me amoxicilin 500 mg and to take 4 a day. 2 in the morning 2 at night. it was pretty much killed by thursday but just finishing out my prescription to make sure it dies out. i have 2 more. (tonight) so yeah im feeling loads better.

so the ward here is awesome! its a mixture between old and young folks. there is a family i really connected with, not like i did with the sherwoods but they are awesome. they went to concerts and stuff when they were younger and are into the same music and same tv shows and movies and stuff. theyre really cool. and everytime they have had us over for dinner its like always a party with some of their friends from the stake. and they are all just super cool. i like it a lot. then the wives told them all to go on an exchange with us when we were over there yesterday! haha it was fun.

so im not really sure what the missionary work is like over in utah, how many wards do they cover? the thing were doing over here that i could see working over there to increase the work. so the home teaching in this ward is very very low and so weve sparked a little interest using that. we have offered to go home teaching with everyone, to kill 3 birds with one stone. we get member present lessons by visiting the less actives with their home teachers, we get to know the ward better just in general by going out with people and meeting the less actives, and we raise the home teaching percent in the ward. everyone is on board with this idea so were pretty excited and hopefully it all turns out!

but yeah anyways im going to go for now. love you!

Well it really happened!! Hilary and Robert are actually married!! It was such a beautiful day and Hilary looked soooooo Beautiful and the reception was so beautiful and went so smoothly!! Even the lady at the reception place commented and how smoothly every thing went. I didn't take any pictures to send to you today because I was too busy. The photographer took lots of pictures so I will have to send you some as soon as they get here. That might take a week or more. I hope Hilary and Robert were happy with everything. I think Robert's family seemed very happy with all of it. They are so very nice and sweet. It was just a lot of fun!! I am very tired and it was a lot of work but in the end I hope Hilary was happy. She was getting pretty stressed towards the end. I haven't really been doing anything else this whole weed except for wedding stuff. I made five hundred cupcakes and mini bundt cakes for the reception. I would send you some but I don't think they would last that long. We also had a candy buffet and we had lots of that candy left so I am going to send you some of that stuff. I have been very successful in giving lots of it away. We took a lot of it with us to the family reunion today so it is dwindling fast. I am also sending some home with Phillip so not much will be left after that. He doesn't want to take any of the chocolate home because he didn't bring a cooler and it gets really hot going through the desert.

Anna and the kids weren't able to come out but Phillip came. He is still here but he is leaving really early in the morning. He wants to leave at 3 a.m. so he can be back home by around 4 so he doesn't have to pay for an extra day for the car rental. He rented a car so Anna could still have theirs so she could take the kids places. I was pretty sad that they didn't come but I am so happy to see Phillip again! Dad told him to write to you and he said that he will.

The Olsen family reunion was today. Noland and Janet stayed a little longer this year than last year so that was nice, I at least got to talk to them. Tony was also there this year. That means that they only grandchildren of Grandma and Grandpa that weren't there this year were you and Hilary and you were both absent with for very good reasons.

I also wanted to tell you that I gave you Phil's wrong address. It is 620 January Street instead of 622. That was his house number when he lived on Juno Court. He said that if you have already mailed him something that he will probably still get it so hopefully that is true.

Are you feeling any better yet? Did you go to the doctor? I was talking to Aunt Mary today and she was telling me that when they were on their mission that some of the Elders didn't like to wash their sheets every week and because they lived in a very humid climate they would get a fungus on the bodies. So I am telling you to wash your sheets every week!!

How is the work? Are you staying busy? Are you adjusting to life in Prairie Grove? How is the ward there? The work in our ward has come to a stand still now the Elders are here. I am going to have to figure out how to help them.

I have been doing very well at the Book of Mormon Challenge because I could just listen to it while I was making cupcakes. It was a good thing because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it.

Well I am really tired so I need to go to bed. Unfortunately I have to go back to work tomorrow. I am looking forward to hearing from you!!

I"ll love you forever
