Prairie Grove, Arkansas

Elder Huffman

Sister Sherwood

thats awesome you got to meet sister sherwood! so had kathryn's baby been born yet? yeah olive garden isnt the best but its not awful..

random question about the new elders, is one of them named elder erdman? the bishop in my new WARD has a son out in the salt lake city west mission and is actually in west valley. and they said they he either was in an area that used to be sisters, or is taking over an area that was sisters. cant remember.

so my new ward is great! i have been able to meet a lot of people! well, the whole ward yesterday, but i cant remember anyone specifically. there were a lot of people. but my ward mission leader is awesome! his name is brother Dearden. weird fact. he grew up in west valley and went to hunter! he graduated in 2001. and his wife also, but she graduated in 2003. hilary was 2002 right? so you could probably find them in her yearbook. dearden and i believe he said her name was epperson? so yeah, look for deardens and eppersons in hilary's yearbook and youll see my WML and his wife! (those are last names by the way) and my bishop is awesome! so im pretty excited to be serving here. seems like a great place to serve.

so my new companion is named elder huffman and he is from logan! he is a really nice guy. ittl be a fun transfer. my new address is 302 So. mock apt. A4. so that is my new address and my new place to send stuff. its a nice place! i think cassvilles was bigger. but i like this one more. its more homely. and even has a dish washer and a washer/dryer too! cassville didnt have either one of those. so this is a big step up. oh and the beds here are big! theyre double's i believe. so i have room again! and being in the middle of nowhere again i get another car area! pretty excited about that. but i have to run for now.

have a great week! love you!

Hi Drew!

So I met her!! Sister Sherwood couldn't come down here because she didn't have a car and she was waiting for the baby to be born so Dad and I drove to Logan on Friday night. We also met Kathryn and they were both so very nice. We had a very nice visit and we took them to dinner at the Olive Garden. I know not one of the places that we like, but they seemed to be happy with it so that was the most important thing. She told me how well you are doing and how much she and her family will miss you. It sounds like there are quite a few people who will miss you. It was really so much fun and I am so glad we went to meet her. I can really see why you like them so much.

Tell me all about you new area!! Have you gotten to meet anyone yet? How is your new companion? What is your new address? Do you live in an apartment? What it is like? Do you have a feel for the work there yet? Is it a ward or a branch? I am excited to hear all of your news?

I can't remember if I told you about my friend Karoll Sillito or not. Anyway she passed away this past week from brain cancer. It is so very sad. Her funeral is on Wednesday this week and I think I will go. I will probably have to go alone but I've done that before.

Anna's mom had some surgery last Friday. They are now just waiting for the test results to see what the next course of action will be. Please keep her in your prayers. Anna is very worried and scared for her.

Dad got a nice smoker for Father's day. We will have to get it all perfected by the time you get home from your mission. I am pretty excited about it. I have some briskets and ribs ready to try out in it.

The Relief Society was in charge of the ward Ice Cream Social last night so I ended up cleaning out the freezer so I would have someplace to store the ice cream. It needed to be done so it was a win-win situation. The party turned out really well I thought. Everyone seemed to have a good time and there was plenty of ice for everyone to have all that they wanted and then some. We still have a lot left some I am trying to talk dad into taking to young men on Wednesday for a treat for the boys. Maybe for months to come,

The wedding plans are coming along but there is still a lot of work to do. We took Hilary's dress to be cleaned on Friday and also went and bought tons of candy for the candy bar. I am not sure there is enough time left to do everything that I need to do. Oh well it will all come together I am sure.

I haven't heard anything for Josh other than he did a cast on last week. I am pretty sure he is able to drive again though his car is out of the garage again.

We did get Elders and so far they don't seem to want me to go with them. I only met them briefly at the ice cream social. I was busy dishing up ice cream and they were busy visiting with people. I am sure I will have a chance to talk to them more and we will have them over for dinner. It might not be until after the wedding at this point. Maybe I can smoke something for them.Smile

My Scripture for this week is 1 Nephi 10:19. I found it in my reading and I liked it a whole lot.
19 For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and themysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in times to come; wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round.

Have courage (from a talk I read from Pres. Monson today), be obedient, work hard and pray always. You are amazing and this new area is such an opportunity for you.

I'll love you forever!!
