Jordan and Deegan Baptisms!
Hey Everyone!
Hope everyone is good. Been hearing things about the hurricanes and fires, hopefully everyone will be alright.
It's been a good week here...had two baptisms! But also
its been tough with many investigators dropped this week, but I know we will see miracles here soon!
Monday:
P-day was pretty chill - we just played some pool and hung out with the ZLs, got chores and shopping and all that done, made lunch for the week, was a good day. Had a lesson with Jordan and Harold, found a new investigator named Steve - hopefully we can help him progress along the Gospel path.
Tuesday:
Did some service, had a lesson with one investigator named Colton - hopefully going to get baptized here on the 23rd of September! Might be some hold ups with family but praying all will be well. Had a lesson with Deegan and Harold also that night. Harold is tough! He wants to follow Jesus Christ, but just a shy kid and committing is hard for him.
Wednesday:
Good day - trying to contact people and referrals, and was a sucky night. We went to a lesson were these kids want to learn and get baptized, the parents grew up in the church, weren't supportive of the church but will support the kids decisions. But when we got there, pretty much the dad brushed off our fellowship, so the mom and dad just blasted us with anti-Mormon stuff, and how they want to help us find the true Christ, but we pretty much just took it, and boar testimony and left. You could just feel the Spirit was totally gone from the home while that happened. Felt bad about the lesson the whole day leading up to it, but hopefully the parents turn around in the future, but that was crazy!
Thursday:
Was Cache Valley day of service so we did service with the zone in the morning, cleaning the flower pots in Preston, had weekly planning then went to a huddle with the senior couple, and just tried to contact members and referrals out in the farm land of our area.
Friday:
Had ADTM with the the Zone at this ranch of this one awesome member family - was a good meeting and after we had gumbo for lunch, it was so good! I love Cajun food, it's super good! We went on exchanges with the DLs, and had baptismal interviews for Deegan and Jordan, and made sure everything was ready for the baptisms the next day - they were excited!
Saturday:
Had Deegan and Jordan's baptisms! The Spirit was strong! They are super shy but God was with them and they weren't too nervous - it was awesome and the less active dad got to baptize Deegan and we are trying to get the whole family active again, should be good! But worked the day, had a little BBQ lunch with Jordan and his big family later, and worked the night trying to find more people to teach.
Sunday:
Had sacrament meeting and correlating with leaders. We worked the afternoon. Had a lesson with this one mom and her son - they are sort of unaccountable and crazy - and in their home the Spirit was just gone, but they aren't ready just yet. Worked out later in Weston area, out in the boonies.
Sweet week overall. Was hard to find new people to teach, and had to drop some investigators this week, but I know the Lord is just preparing more people to receive the gospel, and He will lead us to them as long as we do our part to plan precisely and execute flexibly, with diligence! But hope everyone has a great week!

Photos are of Jordan and Deegan baptisms, and the countryside here in ID (there was smoke over the whole area due to fires so the sun looked red - it was weird but cool).
