Hello queridos, hope everyone is good!! this week shot by which is good because I am really bad at handling slow things hahaha. but it was a good week!
having Elder Brady live here now has been so so so fun. he and I get along so well and I love him so much!! we randomly just come up with ideas and then we put them into motion and it's been so fun 😂 case 1 was while Elder Tingey was gone on exchanges, we all were like "hey... what if we moved all 4 of our beds into one room and just had a mega sleeping space" and we just did it at like 9 at night. so now we have a mega sleeping space! and we came up with a crazy video idea where we challenge 4 other elders to stay in our cars for an entire day and then see who loses. we'll see if we're brave enough to do it!!on the same note, we have had lots of "the floor is lava" and "monkey on the ground" games in the mornings and that's been great
this week we were able to find some new friends on Facebook, mostly that live in other countries though. it's awesome to teach them and they are often super nice and elect, we just want to teach more in our own area haha. but the work goes on!
we actually had to drop one of our friends, the twin of the girl I was teaching in Menifee :(( we're sad, but we know one day every tongue shall confess!
something super cool that happened was the ASL Elders here found someone on Facebook who lives in Perú, who is deaf! they are a member of the church already but they have almost no one down in Trujillo that knows Peruvian sign language to talk to them :( so they're super lonely but my friend elder hallstead and I did a video call with him and his wife and they are just the sweetest people ever! elder hallstead (BTW if you've ever seen the ASL Disciples of Jesus Christ in Riverside page (which you should totally check out) then you've probably seen him!) was able to read their Peruvian sign language and talk to them back in ASL and it was super neat. at the end I shared my testimony in ASL which I've been practicing! that's been lots of fun
but yeah! i don't have much else to share but there's that. everyone read your scriptures and such this week 👍🏻👍🏻
ps thanks to all who wrote me letters!!!! you are the nicest folks ever. much love for everyone, have a good week!!!
