Week 47: Passport Miracle

Hey Guys,

This week went by quick and was super fun and it was also my companions birthday.

On Friday we did a ton of area book work to keep our records up-to-date and make everything digitized for the mission office.

On Saturday we did a street display which was really fun and we talked to a lot of cool people. After the street display we also had a dinner appointment with a Brazilian family in the ward.

Sunday was a pretty normal Sunday; we had church and did studies. On Monday we drove down to Frankfurt with Brother Kramer because I lost my passport a couple of weeks ago and I needed to go to the consulate and apply for a new one. Then I did the paperwork for the application and had dinner with a senior couple. We spent the night at the mission president's assistant's apartment.

Then on Tuesday we got up early and raced down to the US Consulate and it took like 2 hours to do all of the new passport paperwork. Then we went to the mission office and figured out how to get back home and the "tech Elders" bought us tickets back to Hagen. Later that night we had Ward Correlation meeting with Philip.

On Wednesday we had District Council in Dortmund and then we went to Lüdenscheid and did service for the Familie Kroek.

Today we went to the German Soccer Museum in Dortmund which is also the German Soccer Hall of Fame! And while we were at the train station in Hagen, one of the workers recognized me and went in the back office and brought out my lost satchel with my old PASSPORT! So apparently I left my bag on a bus and somebody took it and looked through it, but since I didn't have any money in it they left it there. Then a transportation worker saw the bag and put it in the office hoping to see me pass thru sometime. American Passports are very valuable on the Black Market so it's an absolute miracle and a blessing to get mine back.

That's my week!
