Week 42: Easter and a Europe Area German-Speaking Devotional

Hey guys,

This week went by pretty quick!

On Friday we did weekly planning and we had a lunch appointment.

Easter is a huge holiday in Germany and the school kids get two weeks off so everybody is either spending time with family or out of town. But we still had a lunch appointment and it was really good! Then we had a lesson with a woman named Kristina in the park and it went well.

On Saturday we had the baptism of Frank in Dortmund. It was a really great baptismal service and a lot of investigators from around the zone came. We had a luncheon after the baptism and then later that day we had a devotional for the German-speaking Europe Area. Elder Uchtdorf spoke as well as some Area Seventies, one of which is in the ward I am serving in currently! The devotional was for Germany, Austria, and German-speaking Switzerland-- It was way cool.

On Sunday we had church and had kind of a mellow day because there were very few people outside because most of them were either at church or with family and friends. Sadly we didn't get an appointment for Easter Sunday but it's ok, we made pizza at home.

On Monday we couldn't do a whole lot because Easter Monday is also a big Holiday and so again, not many people were outside.

On Tuesday we had a lesson with a guy named Mortaza who is from Afghanistan but grew up in Iran. It was a good lesson and we set up another appointment.

And then on Wednesday we had District Council at the Novak's apartment. We had some snacks and had a really good meeting. Later that day we had a lesson with Patrick and we went over the Law of Chastity and it went surprisingly well!

Then today for pday we are going to Dortmund and checking out their zoo!
