On Friday we decided to go to the church and watch the First Presidency Christmas Devotional while we put on the stickers of the address and phone number on the back of pass-along cards. We then did some street contacting in the Bitburg Christbaum Market which was really fun. The Atmosphere in the christmas market is like nothing else!
On Saturday we did a lot of tracting in the student housing of Trier Universität and found several potentials which is GREAT!
On Sunday, we went to church and did our studies. That was a pretty normal Sunday.
On Monday, we went to kaiserslautern to have our interviews with President Boyer. That went well and then after that we did some study and then went to a family's house for dinner. A part of the dinner was bacon - wrapped dates. I didn't think they would taste good but they were unbelievable. And there was like a brown - sugar sauce on it and it was incredible!!!
Then on Tuesday we had dinner with the Hernandez family and taught them a new member lesson. We also taught Josh about the Book of Mormon and the promise that if he reads it and prays to God then he will get an answer if it is the word of God.
Then yesterday we went to Frankfurt and had a conference with Elder Engbjerg, an Area Seventy from Denmark. It was an awesome experience and I was able to talk to him for a little while and he was really nice. One of the biggest things he talked about was that missionaries shouldn't be so hard on themselves that they are not perfect. He also said that perfect obedience should not be a goal, rather a means by which we attain another goal. I thought that was really cool and insightful. Basically, his main thing was to keep trying, but we're not going to be perfect so don't beat ourselves up over it. It was A GREAT conference!!! It was also fun to see a lot of friends in other parts of the mission.
Today we are going to Trier and getting Christmas gifts to send home to our families in the United States!
