Zone Conference and F16s
Hello Everyone,
This week has been really fun. We had our first Zone Conference on Monday and I finally got to meet the other missionaries from my zone. They all seem pretty cool. I was able to go on the Bitburg Military Base because the head of base security is in our group. We were able to see an F16 up close and see its guns and afterburner. We also got to see inside an F16 flight simulator. Super Cool!
My companion is District Leader so we go on splits every week and I get to spend the night with a different Elder in his apartment. This week I went with Elder Roundy. This guy is HUGE! He got a full ride to BYU for football then broke his wrist and lost his scholarship. He said it was a blessing because he was able to serve a mission.
We have several new investigators this week. We are teaching a lot of people right now. My companion and I are really starting to mesh. We get along really well and we are getting a lot better at teaching together.
I have been focusing my studies on the Atonement. I have a deeper understanding of it and I’m realizing how awesome it really is. I have a much deeper love for it now. I also have a better appreciation for General Conference. I read a lot of conference talks and I have a deeper love for all of the General Authorities and their messages.
These are my two favorite scriptures right now:
Ether 12:27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
