Good week
So it was was good week! Lots of stuff and definitely busy!!!
Monday: We had a solid day, we got our shopping done, went and lifted and talked with family! Our P-day ended at 2 because we had our mission Christmas conference! It was so fun! We played tons of games, and had a super good devotional with President wheeler! At the end of the conference, we were lead outside and they gave each missionaries 2 balloons, with lights on them! They were 400, representing all the people that were baptized in 2018! It was so cool seeing them all go up while we sang silent night! After that we had hot cocoa and took lots of pics with old zones and companions!
Tuesday: Another day of meetings with the zone and district! I focused a lot on recognizing the spirit and helping the people we teach recognize it as well! And then the funniest old lady took us to dinner at Olive Garden! She was super funny! That's about it though.
Wednesday: We took our mission photo at the temple! And then we got to go through the temple, I love the Gilbert temple so much!! I find so much peace in the temple and my questions always get answered when I go there! That night we had an awesome lesson with Sergio and his family! It was good to finally get back in and teach them! We Taught the restoration and they seem to still be rarely interested!
Thursday: We got to work the giving machine!! It was so cool! Only 5 in the world and we got to work the one here in Gilbert! Such and awesome experience! So many people came and donated! It's such a good way to light the world and give back as Christ gave! It truly is a good way to be more like our savior! And And I saw a couple people from my old areas, so that was cool as well!
Friday: weekly planning and then we had a ward party
Saturday: We did tons of service! For the start of our day We went to play ball at the church, but when we got there, one of our wards was getting ready for a Christmas party, so I stead of balling We helped them, which turned out to be a super big blessing for sister fox, who had been praying all the night before for someone to help set up, and this was the first time We had ever gone to this building to play sports so it was definitely inspired! The ward party was super cool though, we started off by making hundreds of food packs for homeless teenagers as a ward, and that was so amazing to see all of them involved! After the breakfast We dropped 2 elders off at one service and then we went and helped a guy in our ward move, after that we went back and helped out at the other service! We helped this old couple paint their garage, it was an ugly blue color and the old guy hated it but the wife loved it and he just complained the whole time, so funny😂 they had a ton of old food storage, like 50 years old, and we were hauling it out to throw away and we went to lift one up and found a big old frog behind one, this thing was as hard ad a rock and we had to get a hammer to get it off the ground, but we were at the service until about 3pm! After that we had another ward Christmas party! Super cool, the whole theme was grinch! And the guy who acted as the grinch was pretty spot on!
Sunday: we just had church, but we also got transfer calls, and I'm staying!!! I'm moving to a new house but I get to stay in the area, which I'm super hapoy about because I love the wards and I'm tired of moving lol.
Well I'm grateful for all of you, I hope that you can all remember to keep Christ in Christmas. That we can remember the true meaning of Christmas, and I know that as we put Christ at the center and do as he did, then we will truly have a more enjoyable Christmas! I love being able to serve him and the peo people around me! Look for opportunities to serve!!
Love Elder Warth!
