Storm Comin', Weatherman Couldn't Predict

Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo!!! haha this was such a CRAZY week, lemme tell ya, and those are the best weeks!

P-day this week came straight out of Jungle Book. Hiking monkey mountain!! Sometimes the monkeys would literally come at you and it was a little scary! But fun. And also really really hot and humid. But if everyone's hot and sweaty, nobody's hot and sweaty ;)

This week was a week of good eats! We had Costco's pizza, mango bing, and all you can eat hot pot while on exchanges with Elder Van de Merwe, ate a delicious Korean-style hot pot with our ward mission leader and counselor in the Bishopric, pig tongue from a former investigator we decided to visit (the flavor is actually pretty good!), Bian Dang at the chapel with some birthday cake to celebrate Elder Yang's birthday, and then Subway after the zone leader's baptismal service! Anyways, just thought I'd let ya know we're doin' well.

And we found some new investigators this week!! Woo hoo!! Things are rolling here.

And then the Typhoon. Everyone was making a big deal about it Friday and early Saturday. It took a different direction and never came to us. But they decided to cancel all church services in Taiwan. Hahaha how often does a missionary not go to church? Weird. But we could still go out and proselyte!! So we worked hard and found a cool guy that set up for next Sunday. And then another Typhoon came, this time coming right from the south so we headed home and had to stay in all night. Haha crazy Taiwan. We studied and cleaned the apartment. Better than last time when our power went off. hahaha you gotta love it!

Quick follow-up with your new year's resolutions!! How's it been going? Do you remember them? I've been thinking a lot about goals this week. Here's some thoughts from Preach My Gospel:"Do everything within your power to achieve your goals while respecting the agency of others." And "I am so thoroughly convinced that if we don't set goals in our life and learn how to master the techniques of living to reach our goals, we can reach a ripe old age and look back on our life only to see that we reached but a small part of our full potential. When one learns to master the principles of setting a goal, he will then be able to make a great difference in the results he attains in this life." That was from Elder Ballard. I know that when we set goals WITH the Lord, He will help us as we work our tails off to accomplish our goals!!

Love you all! Have a great week!
