WOW!!! This week was just so fun and full of so many miracles!! My new companion, Elder Hongvilai is absolutely hilarious. He's such a teddy bear. hahaha. Always smiling. We've been going to the track in the morning to throw the frisbee!! Super good call on that mom and dad. Communication problems? Nah...his english and chinese is pretty not bad! We've been going one day all chinese, one day all english, and I think it's been helping out.
After a solid lesson on repentance with Brother Cai, we recommitted him to another baptismal goal in August. Gotta make those changes to help him quit smoking though. He can do it!!!
Our ward mission leader called us late friday night and asked me if I knew what time it was. uhh....and then he yelled in English "It's MANGO TIME!!!" hahaha and brought over a mass ton of mango and was like "Mango isn't good unless you eat it with bing!" And took out some fresh shaved milk-ice stuff with red bean. It made a great breakfast the next day.
Sister Chen is still awesome! She passed her baptismal interview this week, but her friend is getting married on the 15th so we're moving her date back to the 22nd. She is soo ready holy cow. Just hope she can keep fighting off Satan for the next 2 weeks. AND, this morning she texted us saying her husband has been asking a lot about our beliefs and stuff and that she will invite him to meet with us!! That would be so amazing. It's about the family!!
Elder Bednar gave a talk a couple years ago called "Converted to the Lord" and it's been on my mind lately. He explains the difference between testimony and conversion and I think he lays it out super good. Go read it!! Testimony is our foundation, but we all continuously strive to be more and more converted to the Lord, and we do that line upon line, precept upon precept. It comes from the many small correct choices we make.
Not much, but it is what it is:) Love you all! Have a great week!
